Great Teacher

Many of you write about a good teacher. So I want to write too.
One of my teachers who I can respect was my kindergarten teacher. Of cause I was very little so I don't remember very much, but she was very impressive person. She was very very strict, unlike another class' teacher. I always envied the children at another class. However, now I can feel that her way to teach was good for me. There were good strain. I could be ready to be a schoolchild.

I heard that she has retired from the kindergarten long time before because of marriage. I think she became a good mother.

To Hiroki

I think you had a great teacher!!
In my case, I respect the teacher when I was a high school student. He was a teacher of math and manager of our grade. He was very kind and we got to talk about various thing. When I was a freshman, I was worried about various thing and I had thought I want to leave the school. Then, he noticed my change and guided me. Though he was very busy, he always listened to my worry. Each time I cried in front of him, he comforted me kindly. I had felt that he was like my father. By grace of him, I could enjoy my school days. I'm most thankful to him.

To Hiroki

I think your coach was great and respectable !!
In my case, when I was a highschool student, I belong the tennis club and my coach was very good like Hiroki's coach. Although he was fifty years old, he played tennis very well and he sometimes defeated us highschool students in tennis match !!!! It was amazing ! From his lesson, I learned a lot of things. He still plays tennis actively now. He is the person whom I respect.

To Hiroki

You met the great person!! I think he will become the 師匠 to you(^^)
Talking about me, I respect the teacher on the juku, who took care of me last year on the entrance examination for the university. I disliked the English before I met her. However she made me an extra homework because I couldn't catch up the class I was taking. She taught me until I undestand. Sometimes I had the private lesson from her for 2 hours!! Sometimes we went to eat the dinner. From her personality and willingness, little by little, I became to like English. Now, thanks to her, I am majoring the English★

Dear Mai & Akiko

Mai and Akiko, I've read your blogs just now and my family is important for me, too. Although I tend to forget the importance of the family, I think I have to appreciate their kindness. It's difficult to say "Thank you" face to face, but I want to say some day.

To Hiroki

I think your coach was wonderful coach!!
When I was a high school student, I joined cheerleading club. This club has very severe coach too. Alumnae of my club come everyday, and they teach us very strictly. It was so hard that I thought I want to give up joining this club, but I could learn how to cooperate and importance of friends.
I don't continue cheerleading, but I play badminton now. I recollect y severe coach when I play badminton two on two.

To Asako

I like YUKI very much too!!! When I was a high school student, I was a member of band and my band performanced some of the JUDY AND MARY's song!! So I have special memory in her song♪By the way, I don't know that YUKI has a second baby!! I want to have happy life like her someday☆ What song of her do you like the best? I like "Sanpomichi" very much!!

Biography

Long time no see you...I AM sorry!!

I'm going to talk about things in my elementary schol days. When I was a elementary school student, I experienced transfer from Nakano to Tabata (both of them are in Tokyo but an atomosphere of both area are completely different.) I felt very nervous about making friends and I don't want to go to my new school at the first attendance day. But against my expectation, everyone in a new school treated me so kindly (for example, they always talked to me and gave me many questions and invited me to clubs they had belonged) that I could spend days very enjoiable and comfortable. And still, some of them are my best friends and we sometimes meet and talk about th epresent condition.

Did you experience any change in your youthful days? If you did, please tell me★

To Mai

I respect my family too because they are kind and diligent. Though I go home lately because of my part-time job, she always prepare dinner for me. I merely talk with my father because we are busy but he tells me to take care of my own health and I feel I am loved. My elder sister taught English and mathmatics when I was a high school student and cooperated my entrance examine.

I want to be a person such as respectable person.

Thank you.

To Mai

I also respect my family. My father doen't say anything about my education, attitude, etc. However, I feel that he is always worried about me and I think I have to do my best to everything. My mother is very kind but sometimes strict. She understands me very well. So I can tell her everything. I have two older brothers. Both brothers have each work. Last winter, the oldest brother gave me money!! I hope to be able to get money again♪
I love my family and I'm happy.

To Megumi & Mari

We are going to join some volunteer work for one article in the newspaper. Probablly we'll clean up the town or the forest in Machida and Sagamihara with children. For another one, we are planning to talk with the workers at a shopping district. These fact gatherings starts in December. I'll tell you more information when the project is carried out.

To asako

I also like Yuki☆
I also was surpried when Yuki's child died.
To tell the truth, at first I didn't like Yuki. But the person I liked before told me about Yuki. He liked Yuki and lent me the CD. From then I became to like Yuki very much. I have CD and DVD too. I like the rhysm she makes. I like "sweet home" very much. Did you go to the Yuki's live? I got the ticket before but I got cold on that day and couldn't go... If I have the opportunity, I want to go to the live.

☆To Hiroki☆

I think you had a wonderful soccer coach!!!

Yes, the strict boss is often disliked by other people. But , in fact, like this people tell us many important lessons.

Do you continue soccer now? If so, your coach may be really happy♪♪

To asako

I also like YUKI and her song including when she sang as a singer of JUDY AND MARY!! Her voice is very cute♡ I used to listen her song when I was junior high school students. So her song reminds me of the memory of junior highs cool.

I talk about one of my favorite singer, MARIAH CAREY. Maybe all you know her and her song!! Every X’mas season, we often hear her song which title is “All I WANT FOR CHIRSTMAS IS YOU”. She is originally a singer of gospel and she has been singing since she was young. Her home is poor and in fact, she is half WHITE and BLACK. So she was discriminated against neighborhood. She is neither WHITE nor BLACK, but she didn’t yield. She has strong spirits and like singing a song very much. I really respect her and love her song♡ She is real singer. I’d like you to listen her song.

Biography

I want to write about the person whom I respect most.
He was my soccer coach when I was a elementary student. He was famous around my area as a very servere coach(Thanks to him, about 10 people left my soccer club). I was a captain when I was in the six grade, so I was especially scolded by a variety of reasons. However, I surely can say he was a good coach. He taught me not only soccer. I learned society and the spirit of sports player. The lesson is still living in my heart now. It is not too much to say that he makes what I am.
Do you have a person whom you respect?

To Asako

I like Yuki, too♡ When she was a member of JUDY AND MARY, I enjoyed listening to a concert. Still now, I get power from their song. I had known that she lost her son. When I knew that, I was also surprised because she was appeard on TV cheerfully. Now, I'm very happy to hear that she has son again!!

Family♪

I told you that I respect my math teacher and NAOTO before.
However I forgot important person who I respect.
It's my family.
My mother always worry about me, my father worked very hard for us and my brother is...
He is in rebellious stage(反抗期)now but when I was a child, I always played with him so I didn't feel lonely.
My family is essential for me.
I respect my family.

To Asako

I like Yuki, too. I know her by the time when she was a member of JUDY AND MARY!! I and my friends liked their songs very much, so we talked about them in our school. After she started the promotion as solo, I still have many favorite songs of hers which are very cute and girlish. She always gives me a power to keep up. But I didn't know she underwent such a great sorrow... I also hope she will get her happiness this time♪♪

NAOTO★

Have you ever heard this name, NAOTO??
He is a violinist and I love his play. I had had no attention to violin since my friend who loves classic music told me to go to his concert with her. However I got to be interested in him because his play is different from other players.
He plays classic violin like pops so that the tune is all like upbeat music.

I respect him very much. If you are interested in classic music, I want you to listen his music!!

To Yuka

I'm sorry that worried you last week, but I'm all right♪ I think I mustn't be absent from IE class again...
By the way, I read your blog. I suppose it's good activity for being able to see our town. Please tell me about it if we have a chance. I'm looking foward to reading the article you'll write.

Biography

I'm from Shizuoka and I want to talk about my math teacher of junior high school.
He is a nice teacher and I respect him still now.
He taught me mathematics when I was 2nd grade student of school.
Before I met him, I didn't like math because I thought it was very boring...So I didn't study it myself...
However he taught me a pleasure of math, he is different from other teachers I met before.
He told us not to remember or calculate the problem on the paper and told us to enjoy it ...
That's to say, he wanted us to enjoy studying.
I have a dream to be a teacher and I want my students learn with pleasure.

I wrote my respect person this time, but is this biography?

Biography about YUKI♡

I want to write about YUKI. She is Japanese singer. She is one of my favorite singer. She used to belong to the group JUDY AND MARY and now she is working by herself. I like her song and fashion and cute face, but not only these things the reason why I like her. Last year, she lost her son. When I had known that news, I cried so much. YUKI is always smiling so cute and singing so happily. Loosing her son must be so heavy accident and sorrowful thing, but she didn't show her sad feelings when she appeared on TV at that time. She sang powerfully as usual. I was impressed with her strength and came to like much more!!!!I want to be like her very much, but it's too difficult thing!
She became pregnant again and now she has son again!!!! I hope her happy life will contuinue forever♡And I want to become happy like her♡

To Kaori

Thank you for worried about my condition♡Now I'm so fine!
Be careful not to catch a cold!!

To Mika

You didn't quite the club though the older person of the club were so strict. Great!! I didn't belong any clubs in my junior high school and high school because I was afraid of elder students... But now I regret it.

I belong a club in this university for the first time in my life and I can't imagine my life without the members of it. I don't know whether I can continue activity of this club for 3 years because of my dream but I really love them!! You love the members of your club who made effort with you, don't you?

To Mami

I also haven't know about Ms. Barbara Lee and I respect her, too.
Oh! You watched the movie "otokotati-no-yamato"?? I want to watch it. Recently, the film "Flags of Our Fathers" (父親たちの星条旗) is screened. It is also about war. I want to watch it, too. We studied about war in the class of history. But we don't understand the war indeed. So I should learn about war even from the movie.

To maiko

I haven't known about Ms. Barbara and her great action until now. 9.11 is the most important day and we must not forget this tragedy. I really respect a woman who have own mind and strong spirit like Ms.Barbara.
For Japan, 8.6 and 8.9 is the day of atomic bomb. Its damage is terrible. Recently I watched Japanese movie and the title is "Otokotati-no-yamayo(男たちの大和)" I strongly recommend it for you. Whenever I watch it, I am moved to tears.

Biography(?)

Have you ever heard of Ms. Barbara Lee? She was a congress woman. I'm sorry I don't know she is still continuing, but in 2001, she was.
I'm sure that you all know what happened on September 11 in 2001. Yes, a national tragedy strack the United States of America. After that, most people supported taking military action against terrorism. Nearly All Congress members supported this action. But only she, Ms. Barbara Lee, took objection. After that, some malicious people criticize her, but she never change her mind.
Now on, America is doing war. But I think her action somhow make sense. At least, I respect her for her breve dicision and learn that minority opinion are also needed.

To Megumi

Wow, Naginata!? Sounds cool! When I first read your blog, I thought I mistake for another thing. I never heard about Naginata club. If I had it around my house, I would have belonged there....

☆Biography☆

I was surprised that many classmates learned Japanese culture!!But I'm sorry I didn't do it.....Then, I want to talk about my biography.

I belonged in a ESS club when I was a junior high school student and a high school student(for 6 years!!). Our club activitiy is playing a drama(演劇) in English. Then, we played such as "Sound of Music"and "Pretty Princess" in school festival!

When I was a 1st grade of junior high school, it was so hard for me to memorize the line(セリフ) because I even didn't know English much. In addition, we had to attend a club at least 3 times a week. My older person was so strict, so I sometimes thought to give up.......

But, spoken English attracted me a lot. It seemed to be different from the grammer(文法) which we learned in the classroom. Thanks for it, I begant to like English little by little.

Now that I don't belong to ESS club in this university. But, the memory of the club activity for 6 years is very precious for me still now!!

Biography

Many of you wrote about Japanese culture! So I'd like to think it, too. I learned calligraphy in my childhood, and it was my favorite time. It always made me feel steady and calm. I want to try again if I have a chance. Moreover, I also belonged to Naginata club when I was a junior high school student. Do you know Naginata?? I think it's a rare sport even in Japan.. It is very similar to Kendo, but we used the sword(?) which is 2 meters long. I could learn a law of etiquette by playing Naginata

To Yuka

I am interested in your newspaper☆
What are you going to write?
I want to read it.
I am looking forward to reading newspaper.
I can't wait until spring!!(><)

Sadako Ogata

I respect Sadako Ogata. Do you know her? Though I respect her, I don't know in details... She works for the poor and her international contribution is remarkable. I had a chance to listen her lecture at Sophia University last year. She told about her life and the situation what was happening at that time. I was impressed by her lecture. I wish I could be a person like her. I want to work for the world.

Thank you!!

Biography

Now I want to talk about my favorite author Eimi Yamada.

When she was a juniour high school student, she often listened to soul music and read many novels written by black authors so in many novels she wrote such as 'I am beat', 'ジェシーの背骨', there are blacks. She has written not only about love but also many problems of society. In 'PAY DAY!!!!!', she wrote about a girl (and her family) who had had killed her mother by 9.11.

I like her way to write because it is very natural and expresses real emotion of the characters.
I recommend all of her works so why don't you try them??

So cute♪

Yesterday, I went to Seikei university with Kumiko to see Rinka's talk show!!! We quaued to get the ticket at 9 o'clock in the morning! Once each other went back home and afternoon we went to the university again. We ate Okonomiyaki. The student who making it was like professional of okonomkyaki! He was so sukillful! But taste of it was so so...
As the time approached to start the talk show, I became so excited. Our seat was slanting from the stage, so I was very anxious that we can see her well.
But that's no problem. We can saw her cleary from the seat, and she's soooo cute!!!!!! I came to like her much more☆
Do you like Rinka??

"Sagamachi"

I join a local committee to edit "Sagamachi" as a volunteer. This is a kind of free newspaper about the two towns, Sagamihara and Machida. The editional conference takes place once a week. It's enjoyable because we can talk with other university students and officials. We focus on the people who are active in the towns. In short, we are going to cover their biographies for the newspaper. It will be published in spring next year, please read it if you have a chance(^^)

Biography

I also think learning Japanese culture is significant, as Yukiko said.
I learned calligraphy when I was a elementary student, but I didn't like it. I didn't have calm mind. However, I could learn concentration through learning calligraohy. Although I retired from learning calligraohy, I had a valuable experience, I think.
I also played playing card(Karuta). I think it is one of the Japanese tradditional plays. In Saitama, there is a local Karuta which is called Saitama Kyoudo Karuta. I was elected a representative of my area. I didn't win the game, but I enjoyed it.
I think there are a lot of Japanese culture which I haven't known yet, so I want to have good experiences and learn more Japanese culture.

☆Mita Festival☆

I went to Mita Festival with my friend today!

There were a lot op people in Keio University. We ate fried ice cream, takoyaki, soup and so on!!Then, we went to see the double douch show, because my friend would be on the stage♪♪Double douch is a performance. People use 2 ropes and jump. It looks high level rope skipping(縄跳び) My friend has not practiced it for a long time, but she played very well!!

Then I had a good time, and Iwant to go Mita Festival next year♪

Biography...

As Yukiko says, I think knowing Japanese culture is very important.
I joined Sado club when I was a junior high school student. I lived in Germany at that time, so I had many chances to communicate with German people. They asked many questions about Japanese culture. I can't answer to their questions. So I decided to join Sado club and learn about Japanese culture♪I don't do Sado now, but I want to do it again to know Japanese culture. I also want to do Karate!!

Samuidesune

Today is also cold! But I am going to go to enjoy playing with my friend♡Such a cold weather is good for me because the heat of Tokyo makes me tired…I can't put up with it!!!!

As Yukiko said, I also learned Japanese culture when I was young. I learned calligraphy(書道), powdered green tea, and kendo. And I played koto a little. My mother is a woman ripe with experience. She knows several kinds of things so I think she wanted me to do same things. She is the one of the most respectable woman for me. I want to get many experiences actively because nobody knows where such experiences are useful.

Dear Chisumi, Asako and Megumi.

Chisumi, I haven't read "Tokyo Tower" yet, but I sometimes watch him in TV. He is an attractive person, I think. I heard that the story will put on the air as a movie and a drama soon. I want to read his book and wacth them.

Asako, have you got better? Recently it's getting much colder. Take care of youself.

Megumi, I'm afraid I couldn't send you e-mail on Friday. You were absent from the class. Did you catch a cold?

Biography

Hi! I want to write about my geography. I was a very active girl when I was a child. I was interested in many things and I wanted to do everything as possible. So I took part in many kinds of events and got precious experiences. For example, how to make green tea(抹茶). Through those events, I could learn and feel Japanese culture naturally. I think it is very important because when we meet foreigners and are asked about Japanese culture, some Japanese can't answer the questions. So we Japanese should know Japanese culture not only at the present but also in the past. I don't know all of Japanese culture, so I want to know to be able to answer for foreigners.

Lily Franky

Did you read the book "tokyo tower" that Lily Franky wrote? I was greatly touched by this book. I had known him through TV. Before I read "tokyo tower", I didn't have good image of him. But after I read it, his image changed completely!! I was touched by his love to his mother. If you haven't read it yet, please read it. You will be able to know his life.

Red Jersey

I am sorry to write not to do with the biography...

I am founding the red jersey!! Is there anyone who have one?? I want to borrow if possible. I am going to do "ごくせんのヤンクミ" in the tournament... It is "新人戦" and I have to do something strange...
If there anyone who have it, please please please rent me!!(><)
Thank you for reading.

Biography

Today's class has just finished. I'm going to write now before I'll forget about what I want to tell you. I'm talking about a girl whom I met yesterday at the club activities. She is a Japanese, but she born in a foreign country and lived there for a long time. So she hadn't been to Japan since she was 18 years old. She said her first impression of Japan was really bad. She hated Japan very much! However she tried to understand Japanese culture little by little as she was living here. She got to take it, and now one of her dreams is to build a rice-ball shop in New York!! I'm glad to hear her dream because I like Japan. Don't you think that's wonderful, do you?

Today is really cold... I haven't worn so warmly.
Thank you.

Discuss!!

To Mami
If parents give children a chance to discuss・・・I couldn't think of that!! It's a good idea!! TV has a lot of bad points. But if we change the bad points into good points, we can get along with TV♡ Thank you Mami♡

Violence on TV

I think the violence scenes are not good for children too. Children today can see bad news easily. It may effect them badly. The increase of the number of children's crime is very sad...
But if their parents give children a chance to discuss about the news, it is good experience for them, I think. Many families watch TV during they eating. They should use the time effectively.

TV

I also rarely watch TV because I don't have enough time to watch it. TV has a lot of bad points like you said. It sometimes has a bad influence on people. But I can't say that all of TV is bad. For example, it has video drama and documentary about people who are confronted with serious sickness. Through this program, I can know that there are such a serious sickness in the world and think that life is precious. TV has some bad points, but it also has good points like this.

To Masato

I think the system is problem.
NHK should have the system which make us be able to choose to take NHK or not.
I didn't cared the system seriously, because I live with my parents, and then they pay money for NHK.
It is hard for you to pay it,isn't it?
If I live alone, I don't want to pay it .

TV☆

I think TV has good points and bad points, like all said.
When I was a junior high school and high school student, I like to watch TV very much.
Because almost all friends watched TV and then, we often talk about TV program.
But, now I hardly watch it, because I don't have enough time to do, and interest in TV slowly dropped off.
I use TV for knowing society.
TV can give us many information in a short time.It is very good for me.

TV

I also think watching TV too much is bad for health and waste time.
But, I have a different opinion about violence scene.
Actually, some programs include violence scene. However, I don't think such scene is bad for children completely. By seeing such scene, some children feel that violence is not good. At least I felt so. In a word, it depends on watchers' view.

um....

Today, official from NHK came to my house to collect charge for NHK's TV program. We have to pay money to NHK just because there is TV in our house regardless of whether watching NHK's program or not. So I payed money reluctantly although I rarely watch it. I don't agree with this system......

TV

Although TV has some bad effects, I think it has some merits, too. One of the good points of TV is its convenience and speed. Watching TV and getting information are easier and faster than reading newspaper and getting it. For busy people as us university students, this merit is useful.

To Mai

Yes, searching useful TV program is very important thing for us all! I sometimes watch violence scene on TV which have a bad effect on our mental. TV always gives us many information. However, we should choose what we really need. I think we must be wise audience of TV!! Moreover I also concern with the health problems. I suppose watching TV for a long time is one of the bad habit of people today. Some children watch TV almost all day instead of playing outside. I can't believe this... It may threaten their health in future.

Media

Here, I want focus on TV programs, especially about news. Some people has already mentioned that media are not always giving us the true information. That's one of the dangerous. And one more, on TV, they use real names when they referring to suspects. In actual, 40% of the suspects won't go to court. But the suspects themselves and their families have to face lives of being scorned. In case, suicide in such case is not rare. I want media to think what would happen. Media, especially TV, has a very big power.

Dear Kumiko

I'm interseted in your topic Kumiko. As you said, we all have stereotypes. I think it strongly connect with our way of thinking. About Tokyo and Osaka, as Kumiko mentioned, people living there are tend to have particular nature. People are always influence by the people around them, so maybe it's natural. Well, I understand that it's just about possibility, not all the time.

About TV

Now, I want to talk about the differences between TV and newspaper.

First, when we are watching TV, we can't move or do other things. On the other hand, we can read newspaper in a train or when we walking. We can read newspaper in very short time and we don't waste time. But when we watch TV, we don't move from in front of TV and don't think about other things.

Second, almost all of articles on newspaper are about business, government, market data or sport and there are little stupid things. But on TV, there is much stupid, cruel and not useful information.

There may be more differences between them but I can't find. Well, what should we do to go along with TV? One day we will be father or mother but which should we recommend to our children?

Parents shouldn't allow children to watch TV too much because it will have a bad influence upon their health and children can't judge whether the imformation is good. But now we can judge so TV is good for us, I think.

Addition...

I told you that picking up nice TV program is good, but we have to take care for not to watching it too much. I heard that TV radiate a lot of radiation...It is bad for our brain and eyes.
So that if we watch TV, we consider the influence!!
I think no TV is better for health than us who have it.

About TV

I thing TV is very useful if we use it for getting recent news or study such as " Let's play with English!" presented by NHK.
I know many TV program sometimes have some violence or sexual thing and it is very bad for people especially for children.
However I think it is nice to pick up programs which you think it is good for you.
Sorry Dr.Armstrong, I don't think TV itself is not so bad for people because I can catch a lot of news by TV in the morning.
How about searching a good TV program which always not contain bad action such as violence.

Dear Mari☆

Hi, I've never seen the movie, Tada kimidakewo aisiteru, yet.
However I want to see it since I read your blog.
I think the kind of love is different from each other...But, indeed, I don't think about love seriously yet...Sorry.
However I believe that love is wonderful !!!!

By the way, talking of love, how do you spend your christmas holiday ??
My friend will spend the day with her boy friend but I don't have the one who want to spend with me !!
So I just feel sad...

Geography of TV

I think watching TV too much is bad influence on people. However, watching TV is also able to use the way to relax. For me, I don't have time to watch TV on week days, but when I'm too tired to do something, I sometimes watch TV to take a rest.
However, TV brings bad influence to children. For example, a lot of suicides of students happened. This expanded by picked up news, I think. So TV has great influence on people.

Geography of TV

I've just read your blogs about TV. I see that each has different ideas. Recently TV seems to be indispensable for almost Japanese people's lives. There are many kinds of TV programs. Some of them are not very sensible, however from my point of view, it's not bad to watch TV for one or two hours as an entertainment. Though I don't like TV very much, I sometimes watch dramas and the scenery on TV. Then news can give you various information with pictures. You must not put watching TV to the central part of your life because watching too much will hurt your eyes.

About TV

I think TV is one of the biggest mass media which influence many people. We can get much information easily from a large variety of TV programs. But TV has a lot of violent aspects in each programs such as drama, news program and entertainment program, for example. According to a survey, the program which contains violence the most is animated program. I'm very surprised to know that.

TV

TV is a potential time-waster. We can watch many channels. So, it is possible to sit down near the TV and watch TV always. But, It is freedom to watch or not. We should remember that every report is not right. we should choose useful channel from many kinds of channels. It is important that when we see some potential programs, we decide to stop watching. I want to watch TV cleverly.

Wednesday, November 22, 2006

About TV

I also think whether TV is good or not depends on how to see it. TV is a good tool for us to get information, especially news, and we can know the incidents all over the world through the images. It's important for us. If we heard an affair, we might not think it seriously. However, we can think seriously by seeing images. (In my case, I had a big impact when I saw the image of 9.11. If I only heard it, I wouldn't have believed it.) Although all information are not always reliable, we can think events for real through TV.

I think also TV reflects the climate of our society in some degree because producers are also living our time, and make programs to have many people seen. If there are many entertainment programs now, it says that a lot of people want to see those. I think TV is a kind of each country's culture.

Geography of TV

Thinking about the geography of TV, there are many kinds of channels. News, drama, entertainment, educational television, fiction... They all have each good and bad characteristic. I can't say TV is bad thing. From the TV, I learned many things. For instance, the reality of life. I could see this kind of thing forms drama, movie and news. I think TV makes us know more about the world and could broaden our horizons.
However, I also think seeing TV too much is not good. Now I am so busy that I don't have time to watch TV... Maybe I missed many TV channels... I think it is good to check the TV newspaper and decide which channel to watch. In order not to watch the TV too much☆

geography..?

I was just wondering the connection between people and land. I don't know if it's a "geography" topic or not but well...let's see. You know Tokyo and Osaka are two main cities in Japan and generally it is often said that people in Tokyo are conservative and cool while people in Osaka are open-minded and funny. Is it really true?? People's personality changes depending on where they live?? I don't know. But to tell the truth, I often stereotype people. I think many people do it as well. We have stereotypes about people in other countries, too like "Americans are friendly, Japanese are smart." or something like that. Maybe it's not completely wrong but actually those are just images. People are all different. We just tend to judge people without knowing them truly. But I still believe that there are cultural or historical backgrounds which make their individuality. I’m from Tokyo and actually I’m not funny and I’m kind of a cold person and I’m not open-minded at all!!! Oh it makes sense!! Tokyo is a big city. I don’t have to socialize with people. That’s why?? Well… maybe this matter is more complicated so I don't really know. Sorry I can't conclude this post!!Ⅰ definitely need to study it more so I'll stop it here today but anyway this is just what I thought.

About TV

I also think some TV programs have a bad influence on people, especially children. But, as many of the classmates said, all of them are not bad.

The other day, I saw a TV drama location accidently near my house at night. The young actor, Yuta Hiraoka, acted with cool beer in a cold wind. The scene was only about 5 minutes, but the director adviced him and took it again and again. Of course not only the actor or the director, but also the staff such as gaffer(照明), makeup assistants and cameraman struggled to do their best. I didn't know that one scene of TV program was created by the passion or effort of many people for one scene.

Once I saw it, I can't say all TV programs are silly. The choice depends on us. But I will keep in mind the endeavor of the executor.

I think...

As asako said, I also don't have enough time to watch TV, but I make it a rule to watch TV every morning. I surely check weather forecast and latest news. I don't have newspaper, so Internet and TV is important to me to get new information.
Of course TV has bad points, especially to children. These are not always true.
TV program have many fictions because they edit it to make funnier. So we need to choose programs and information.

Using TV cleverly is important, I think.

About TV

I don't watch TV but it not because I don't like it. I just don't have enough time.
I think TV is not so bad thing. It gives us many information and makes us fun.But it also has bad points. Same opinion as Maiko, some variety plograms is bad for education.
But if we lost TV now, nost people become boring and much less known about the world problems I think.
We must think much seriously about this addiction to TV.

Yeah, the point is How to Use It.

As Kumiko said, TV is difficult to use efficiently. Well, I like to watch music programs or movies, but rarely watch variety programs. Not all of them, but some of them look down on some peoples, I hate that one. Therefore, I think I can understand Dr. Armstrong complaint, however it is impossible to live without TV because we know how useful and interesting it is. The most dangerous situation is that we always feel interesting of it even if the program is cruel.

TV

Yes TV is bad. Maybe I was being a little critical but I actually agree with Dr.Armstrong. I think he's totally right. Most TV programs are lame. Everyone knows it. It's just a kind of addiction. They know it's silly but they can't stop it. What do you think they should do to get over this addiction?? Going out with friends? Reading? Yeah, there are so many things to do but I don't know, I do these things, yet at night or when I have a little time, I just watch TV. I don't even know why!!!
However, things have benefits and drawbacks. Actually we can see exactly what the things look like on the TV. I think that's one of its benefits. I guess you guys haven't been to all the countries in the world, but actually you know what America, France, China, Egypt or whatever.. are like, right?? Because you have seen those countries on the TV.
Well, of course we shouldn't watch TV too much. It's a waste of time. I think we just have to learn how to get along with TV because I don't think it will go away for a while...

Great Blogs and One Extreme View

Wow, your ideas keep getting better and better. I love the concept of a geography of love. I think we could discuss that for a long time . . .

Special note: OK, I get it. Yes, probably I should keep quiet about my extreme and unpopular view of TV. I'm sure that it makes people who like TV happy to meet other people who like TV. I have a great sense of humor and irony but, I don't know, when I watch TV, all I see is violence and sexism and violent sexism---people being cruel and childish, women (and men) being treated as objects and idiots. Am I being too serious-minded about this?

I just can't stand that everyone watches this and absorbs those bad lessons again and again and again. For all the people who don't care and think that's OK, well, OK, that's their business. Hey, I'm an optimist. I look outside and see a beautiful world. But, on television, I see the lowest common denominator of human behavior. I want to rise above that, at least. (Sigh!)

Hey, how about introducing a "geography of television"? I think it might be interesting . . .

Dear Yuka

Thanks for your reply. I was impressed by your words. I think so too♪
Geography of love is very deep and unknown. I could feel only in my heart. Therefore it is difficult to understand each other. I am awkward in this kind of things but let's talk about this kind of story next time☆

My hometown

To Wakabayashi
I drunk it the day before yesterday when I came home after my work. It not so bad taste♪Let's drink it you too!

To Yuka
Your words is so nice♡I also think love is very difficult thing. I'm very poor at that kinds of things..

My hometown is Mitakadai. It's in Tokyo and near the Kichijyoji. There is nothing. Only convenience stores and CD rental shop( But TUTAYA was closed down so it is not that one). So mostly I go to Kichijyoji. But I like my hometown very much. It has nice atmosphere . I carm down at here.
But even though, I want to get out from this town and want to live alone.

To mami wakabayashi!

I am also interested in BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU♪ I found it at Machida station and I wanted to drink a little, but I couldn't. I try to drink it someday. My father loves drinking alcohol very much. He drinks whisky every night. So he knows many kinds of alcohol well. Under the influence of him, I am interested in the kinds of alcohol. However, I can't feel the difference when I compare with the taste of two different sources.

To Megumi

Thank you, Megumi☆ I agree with your opinion. Japanese consciousness is too low to improve the pretty bad situation. We are too luxurious and a lot of food is wasted. As Kaori said, I also think "Mottainai!!!." So I try not to waste any food and I want to find what I can do for it. African and Asian people are the same as us. Many kinds of resources are in Africa and Asia. So we have to appreciate them, I think. And... I wish nobody died of hunger.

To Mika

Thank you for the comment for me!!

Yes, there are many people in summer and this town become very cheerful. But atually I like the sea in winter, too!! There are a little people and is very quiet... When I was a junior high school student, I used to go to the beach in winter and talk with my friends. It is my memory I never forget. And at night, we can see many beautiful stars.

When you come to Shin-Enosui, please tell me and let's go together!!
I'm looking forward...

Thank you!!

Thank you, Akiko!

Hi, your ski circle's excrcise is really hard, isn't it!? And you cannot be with your family on New Year's Day... But enjouy your circle!!

I have skied once when I was high school student. And it was really scary. I slipped so many times!! And I was about to collide with other people!! But actually I like snow. On spring vacation, our circle will go snowboarding. I want to enjoy it.

And I hope someday you will go abroad and use your great ability of English.

Dear Saori

Thank you for the comment for me!!

You seem to enjoy your part-time job, don't you? It was so hard for me to work for so long time but I like people working together so I could.

By the way, where will you go and what will you do in St. Christmas Day??
I want to be my friends but I can't...actually, I will go skiing as club activity and can't go home till 1/8...I will miss you so please e-mail meeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I haven't benn to foreign countries so I can't imagine what like Turkish!! Please take me there some day! Please!!

Dear Akiko...and my hometown

Hello. You seems to worked hard. Please lest enough. I want to buy yakitori at your shop.

Yesterday I worked from 9:00am to 18:00pm. And when I reached mu house, I slept soon because I was so tired. And our shop strated put a christmas tree!! It was really beautiful.

And let me tell you about my hometown. I was born in Ankara, a capital city of Turkey. I was there until I was 2 years old, so I don't remember that time. But my parents told me that everyone around us was really kind.

This summer vacation, I went to Turkey and saw my house. My house didn't change, but aquaintances at that time were already moved. But I could speak with people who live in my house now. It was good memory. People in Turkey were very kind and friendly... I want to go to Turkey again!!

Dear Mari

Mari, I also watched the movie the other day. It was impressive story, so my friend and I cried at the end of it. Now I'm talking about the geography of love. I think love exists in one's heart. Sometimes it's difficult to understand what love means because we cannot see the shape and existence. We have to feel only by heart.

☆To Akiko☆

You live near Enoshima?? That is wonderful! I like sea, so I envy you because you can go to the beach soon. In summer, the atmosphere of Enoshima is more cheerful, isn't it??

I have been Enoshima several times, but I have not been to an aqarium yet.........so, if I have a chance, I want to go there next time☆★

My Hometown

Thank you, Megumi. Yesterday I had a part-time job and worked for 9.5 hours but I'm getting better.

Now let me talk about my hometown.

I was born in Osaka and moved to Kanagawa when Iwas 3 year-old. Now my house is in Katase-kaigan. Do you know? Fifteen-minute walk will take you to Shin-Enoshui. Have you been to this aquarium?

And twenty-minute will take you Enoshima. There are a festival of firework in summer vacation and I can see it from my house.

If you haven't been Katase-kaigan, please come on and enjoy this small and beautiful town.

Thank you.

To Ryoko, Hiroki and Yukiko

Thank you for commenting about my blog.
The probrem about the world's population is very difficult.
I always think that I wish every people who live in the earth can eat enough food for living.
almost all developed countrys is full of food.
Yesterday, I saw the bakery which was closed(the time was pm10:00)
and then, saw the clerk had garbage whish was full of many many bread.
I thought "Mottainai!!!!!" and I wish we can send the bread to the countries where many people who can't eat enough live.

★BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU★

To Mari, did you see "tadakimiwoaishiteru"!!?? I really want to see it! I also want to be moved by it, and feel pure love♡Please tell me the detail next class!!

November 16 was the special day!! It was the day of lifting the BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU. This wine made from BEAUJOLAIS area which is nominated to one of the major source of wine in France. It is made every year and the day of lifting is appointed, which is third Thursday, November. We can drink it earlier than any countries because of the International Date Line.
Why don’t you drink BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU?? I don’t know the taste of wine, but I am interested in it a little.

Antually, I heard this year’s BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU is not good….( ゚Д゚)

To Mika

Oh! Your hometown is Okinawa?? It's grate!! I want to have so-men chanpuru. I like go-ya chanpuru♡ I never go to Okinawa. I want to go there!! Most of people go there for school trip. But my school didn't have school trip. I like dialect of Okinawa because I feel warmth♡

exhaustedddd

I'm tired as hell. I worked from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm today. It was really a hectic day. I need to relax and chill out more!!! Yet it's actually nice to be busy. I hate doing absolutely nothing and staying at home. It's boring and when I'm bored, I watch TV, which Dr.Armstrong thinks is BAD. So maybe I should be busy. But you know what?? Unlike Dr. Armstrong, Gray, our IE Writing teacher actually likes watching TV. He also watches Japanese dramas. And you know his son is a model and he's on a music video of Kinki kids. I'm not a fan of them but I think that's amazing, right?
Okay guys. Hasta mañana!

"tadakimiwoaishiteru"

I saw "tadakimiwoaishiteru" today☆ At the ending part, I was moved to tears... I felt sad... Tamaki Hiroshi made me irritated at the beginning part because Miyazaki Aoi was doing her best but he was too insensitive to notice her feelings.
This movie made me think about love. I can't forget her sayings at the end of the part. What do you think the geography of love? I don't know exactly and I think there is no stabled extent. I think there are many kinds of love. Miyazaki Aoi took many picture of the couples kissing. They were all smiling differently and each picture made me happy.
Sorry, I can't organize what I want to say but this movie made me think a lot.
I recommend many people to see this movie☆

To Yukiko

I also think the problem of food is getting very serious today. We Japanese are well supplied with food and drink, but we must not take it for granted. There are lots of people who can't get enough food to live in the world, especially in Africa or Asia. What should we do? Japan do financal help for developing countries every year, though I think it's formal and still not enough... Besides, our conscious for the problem is too low. It's one of the difficult problem so we should consider this deeply again.

To Kaori

I was surprised at your blog. I didn't know how the world's population is increasing. Yeah, it is a big problem. In Japan, although the land is very small, more than 0.1 billion people live in. Many high buildings are built, and more and more buildings are being founded. At the same time, air pollution is getting worse and worse. We must improve this situation.
Moreover, I want to say about food. Countries like a developed country have enough food, but other countries like a developing country don't have food for living. So many people die of poverty. This is also big problem. Not only the luck of food but also the rate of food which developed countries have must be reconsidered, I think.

☆To Mami.W☆

I was surprized at the news of the second Tokyo Tower!! I didn't know it(゜_゜)

It is sure that we need more high tower, but I miss the present Tokyo Tower.........because it has been a symbol of Tokyo for a long time. The orange tower which is lighted up is beautiful, isn't it??

Although I have gone up the Tokyo Tower only once, I want to go again before it stops its role.

The socond Tokyo tower.

To Ryoko, take care yourself!! Recently it is getting cold more and more, so be careful to not catch a cold.
By the way, do you know the project of constructing the second Tokyo tower?? The present Tokyo tower can’t receive radio wave well because the height is not enough. Around the Tokyo tower, there are many high buildings and it is also one of the causes. Before 2011, we will completely change analogue broadcasting to digital and then the second Tokyo tower, whose name is Sumida tower, will be constructed. Its height is about 610 meter which is taller than Tokyo tower. After its building, Tokyo tower is going to stop its role. Wow!! I was very surprised at it!!

To Kaori

I'm also surprised at the increase of world's population and I think Japan is happy country, too. But, whether population increase or decrease is different in each country. Some countries, especially developing countries, increase its population. These countries don't have good medical treatment, so many of newborn babies die. Besides, many people need as much worker as possible to earn their living, Therefore, people who live in deveoping country raise a lot of children and these countries' population increase. On the other hand, several developed countries will decrease its population in the future. Japan is one of them. These countries have good medical treatment, and their life is rich, so they don't need to many children to work. And then its population will decrease.
Although increasing population too much isn't good, decrease it too much isn't also good. I don't want to disappear Japanese.

To Kaori

Are you O.K?? I caught a cold too...But I went to school today♪I'm so tired...
I want to rest tomorrow, but I have to go Fuchinobe to cheer up my circle's member who take part in ball game meeting. So I'll go to bed early゚+。:.゚ヽ(*´∀`)ノ゚.:。+゚
Take care!!ヽ(。・∀・)人(・∀・。)ノ

To Ryoko

I am going to see "tadakimiwoaishiteru" tomorrow!! I can't wait any longer!! I also like the song of Ootuka Ai♪ Let's talk about this movie!! I guess Yuka saw it already☆

To Mika

Your home town is Okinawa, isn't it?
I t is wonderful!!!
I have ever gone to Okinawa.
I had two chances to go to Okinawa, but eventually I couldn't go.
Because at first, My brother caught a cold, and second time my brother had schedule, suddenly.
I was out of luck.

I want to eat "So-men Chanpuru"!!

The world's population

I hard that the world's population is increasing everywhere, but it is ploblem .
in 1987 when I was born, the world's population is 5billion.Now it is 6.5billion.
I was surprised to know the numerical value.
If the population increase too much, it exceed the capacity ,that is,foods which are harvested in the earth can't keep all people in the world alive.
After reading this story, I feel that almost all Japanese people happy is happy.

By the way, recently there was a sudden drop in temparature.
And then I caught a cold.Today, I feel tired because of cold.
Be careful about cold!!!

☆To Ryoko☆

I didin't know the day of peanut!! I thought that November 11 is the day of Pokki. It is interesting♪♪

By the way, are you going to go to Izu?? I envy you, because I like Ize very much(≧∀≦)
Although I haven't been to overseas, but to Sizuoka prefecture many times!! Especially, Izu is my favorite. Izu has a beautiful sea, delicious food and spas!

Then I hope you will have a good time☆

To mari!!

Hi, Mari♡
I saw "tada kimi wo aishiteru" last weekend!! It was wonderful and moving!!
I fell in love with Hiroshi Tamaki♪He is very cool!!
If you haven't seen yet, you'd better see this movie!!!!!!!!!!

My hometown and culture

My hometown is Okinawa. I was born and brought up there until I was 4 years old. Okinawa has an interesting culture and it seems to be different from other prefectures!!

To tell the truth, I had thought that Okinawan culture was common in Japan for a long time, no, I didn't realized it was local colour........But when I was a junior high school student, I knew it. In my home, we often eat "So-men Chanpuru"(そうめんチャンプルー), a local dishes of Okinawa. But most of my friends asked me, "Why do you fry noodles??!" I was shocked(゜_゜)!!

I think culture is a part of the geography. Then I like my local dishes, songs, and dialect. I want to treasure them from now on☆☆

November 11

Do you know day of peanut?? It was on November 11. Recently, the day of pocky become popular, so many people don't know November 11 is day of peanut too.
I live in Chiba and Chiba's special product is peanut♪It's very delicious but expensive...
Some family do "setsubun" with peanut♡ My family do"setsubun" with peanut too.

By the way, I'll go to Izu on next Wednesday and Thursday. Because I'm one of the organizers of next summer's training camp of badminton circle!! So I and other members have to go and take a look before we decide next summer's training camp place. Since this is a part of our work, we can go Izu for free♪ It's wonderful, isn't it!?

I'm sorry that this journal digress from geography. Thank you for reading!!

To Masato

Thanks for the new information about shooting star☆☆ I am looking forward to seeing the shooting stars. But unfortunately, it is cloudy this night... I will try tomorrow♪

Geography

Talking of the geography, I thought the classroom's structure is also interesting. There are the desks and chairs placed in front of the blackboard in our class. It is better to listen to the teacher. In the art class of my high school, there were the big tables. About 6 people sit around 1 table. It was fun to talk the idea and do the works. How about music class? At my high school there was the piano in front of the room and then about 4 long tables were placed. How about the chapel in the Aoyama Gakuin? The stage for the priest is set and long tables and chairs were placed. This makes much more better to listen to the priest. I think it is interesting. Many class has each organization, which each of them have the reason to place alike.

What do you think?

My Hometown

I'm from Fukushima, and I love my hometown. There are rich, beautiful nature that heal our heart, and many historical buildings. We also speak dialect called Aizu-ben. I sometimes use it without notice. I often say “menkoi” (means cute), or “nageru” (means throwing away). I read Chisumi and Masato's blogs, and found there are many kind of dialect in each region. It's very interesting!

Geography

There is the cosmic ivent from today's midnight to Sunday's early in the morning. It is "Leonid","Shishiza-ryuseigun" in Japanese. We may be able to watch a lot of shooting stars if we are lucky. So if you have an interest and if the weather is good, how about watching the sky at night?

dialect

My hometown is Shizuoka and we also have some dialects. The famous dialects are, for example, "~dara", "~dani" and "~saa" in ending. Mainly, the first two dialects are spoken in western part of Shizuoka and the latter is spoken in eastern part.
When I entered Aoyamagakuin University and came here first in April, I often used some dialects and sometimes my friends couldn't understand what I said... But I rarely speak in dialect now.

dialect

I want to talk about my hometown, Ibaraki again. We have the dialect in each area. In Ibaraki, of course, we have dialect. The most famous dialect in Ibaraki is "~dappe" in ending. People living in another area think that people in Ibaraki all speak in dialect. But it's not true. I scarcely speak in dialect. The degree differ from each area.
Do you have dialect in your hometown? And do you speak in dialect?

earthquake

I also worry about earthquake. I live in the southern part of Ibaraki. It is said that it is easy to be hit by the earthquake in there. So southern part of Ibaraki often become hypocenter. I am very scared. It is not strange whenever earthquake happen. So we have to prepare for it.

uh...

I want to Disney Land, too. This is a dreamworld that everyone likes. In Christmas season, I guess it is very beautiful♪

To Mai
Thank you for your worrying. I' m taking my health.

I'm afraid of earthquake, too. There is a motential earthquake will occour everytimes in Japan, especially Tokyo. We should care for it.

Humm..

When I was reading a newspaper to find the article for the media report, I thought that there might be the geography on the newspaper. The biggest news is on the top page of the newspaper with big pictures to catch people's concern. The sports news are on the back or the second page because many people are interested in the sports news. Then other topics follow in order of the market. The arrangement of articles on one page is considered for people to have interest in it and read easily. What do you think about it?

Thursday, November 16, 2006

Wow!

Mai and Megumi, you two went to Disney Land too? Me either. It was so good that it doesn't rain.

And earthquake. As Mami said, the areas around Tokyo are really in danger. We should mind the big earthquake is coming not so long from now.

Earthquake...

I'm also afraid of earthquake. Japan has many earthquake a year. On the other hand, Australia is known as a country that doesn't have earthquake. West Europe hardly has earthquake too. The difference is related the plates of the earth. This geographical difference effects to the difference of the structure. The buildings of Australia don't have earthquake-resistant construction, unlike Japanese buildings.
I'd like to go to the countries which don't have earthquake because the district around Tokyo will have big earthquake before long.

Anyway, I slept most part of today...My geography of today is very bad!

Today was...

Mai, you went to Disney Land today?? I want to go there, too♡ I like Christmas season because it's very very beautiful, isn't it?! Tell me about it in the next class.
Today was the holiday of Aoyamagakuin. I'm happy♪♪ However, I couldn't go anywhere today(;_;) I played squash hard yesterday, so I slept till noon.. but squash is so attractive sport that I always enjoy playing it. If you interested in it, please try to play squash!
Now, I have to study for tomorrow's lesson. Good night☆

Happy holiday ♪

Today is holiday!!!!!
I went back to my home town, Shizuoka yesterday. I could be relaxed very much.
And today, I went to Tokyo Disney Land.
They have a nice event of Christmas. It's very beautiful and I was very happy to see a cute parade!!
How did you do this holiday??
By the way, I thought that Disney land is also geography. There are a lot of people in the park and Disney land is divided off many crassification such as "Tommorrow land" and "Critter country". In Tommorrow land, there is Space Mountain and in Critter country, there is Splash mountain.

Sorry if it is not geography...

Dear Monami★

Are you O.K?
These days it is very cold, especially in the morning. So we have to be careful about our health.
I also think that Spring is much better than Winter if we consider temperature.
However, I also love christmas very much!! It makes us happy★
Take care !!

About earthquake

As Yukiko said, I'm afraid of earthquake, too. In Shizuoka prefecture, my hometown, there is the expectation that very very big earthquake called "Tokai Daijishin" will occur in the near future and cause serious damage.
I think we shuold prepare against the strong earthquake. If you have some preparation for the earthquake, please tell me.

Geography

I couldn't come here till today for some reasons... So I try to think about geography, the homework of this week. I read your blogs and impressed very much! Especially, I'm interested in geography of Disney Land that Mari mentioned. I often go to Disney Resort, and I found all attractions and shops have unity. I think it's very efficient way to amuse the guests. In fact, I didn't understand what geography means in the last class, but I noticed it has many aspects.
Akiko, are you all right? Recently, there are many people who have colds. Take care, everyone!!

Dear Asako and Yukiko ♪

Thank you for giving me a comment and sorry for writing it to you so late...
Yes, indeed, I found my friend and me on TV. However there are so darkness that it would be difficult to find me.....

By the way, I'm worrying about my homework.
Geography?? I think dictionary may be geography, isn't it??

Earthquake!

Good evening. An earthquake hit Chishima Archipelago yesterday. Did you hear it? The earthquake caused some parts of Japan to occur tsunami.
I live in near the Sagami Bay, so I'm afraid of tsunami. There is one thing what I can't understand. That is about the place of refuge. If there is danger of tsunami, it is decided that my family have to go to the school which is near the bay. I can't understand.
What do you think about it?

About my homework

Hello. Today’s holiday! Thanks for the Aoyama University holiday because I have a bad cold on this Monday again. I had slept three days. I am unhappy…

Oh, let’s talk my homework! It is about season.
Japan has spring, summer, autumn and winter. I dislike winter because I catch a cold many times during the winter. My weak point is cold. But in the winter, there is a Christmas. I love Christmas and clothes of winter. These made us happy♪I must bear up the cold of the winter. …I hope that the spring falls early. I love spring♪ Many beautiful flowers smell sweet. Do you like winter? I want to teach me the key that spend this season happily.

Today is holiday☆

Thanks for the reply, Yuka, Mami and Kaori!! I enjoyed reading your blog. Kaori, you are in the Disney land now?? Enjoy♪ I want to go to the Disney Land too!! Is it already in the Christmas illumination?

Today is holiday because Aoyama Gakuin was founded!!
Talking of the geography, I was thinking of what I do in the holiday. I always wake up around 8 to 9 and eat late breakfast and then go to the club activity. After that I came back at night and then prepare for the next day. At this moment, I always find that I wasn't finished doing the homework. I rush to do the homework and then I go to the sleep. This is my geography of the holiday. It changes sometime. Especially on the day, I have no club activity. Oh! It's time to go to the club...
Thanks for reading.

What is your geography of the day?

About the homework

I'm sorry I haven't created a new post for a long time...
Last time I caught a bad cold and I have a headache now so be careful.

Now, I want to talk about the homework, " geography".
In Europe, almost all people have aquiline noses, big eyes, long arms and legs. But in contrast, Asian people have flat noses, small eyes and shorter arms and legs in general.

I envy the Europian people's good figure...

To Mari

It is very interesting!!
Surely,at Tokyo Disney land and sea many souvenir shops are near the entlance and exit doors.
It is effective in making guests wanting to buy souvenir.
I always buy souvenirs just before I pass the exit gate.

I'm going to go Tokyo Disney Sea ,tomorrow with friends who join same dance club.
(now,am2:26...to be accurate,today)
I will enjoy there, and probably I am going to buy many souvenir through the street where there are many souvenir shops.

Too difficult..

Dr. Armstrong, I like starbucks coffee very much so that article was very interesting for me ♡
But for me, to write about geography sounds very difficult. I don't know exactelly what to write about it....

About my hometown

I live in Higashimatsuyama city. The most popular product in my city is grilled chicken.(Yakitori) According to a survey about the number of grilled chicken shops by NTT in 2000, my city was the best in Japan. However, strictly speaking, my city's grilled chicken is not grilled chicken because not chicken but pork is used. I don't know why pork is used, but I think the taste is really good.
Another popular thing is a big walking contest, 'Japan 3days marches.' Walker can enjoy walking while feeling nature.
It is said that it's the biggest walking contest in Asia! I didn't know the scale of the contest. It's marvelous! Don't you think so?

To Mari

That's why I always buy many things in Disney Land! I think the placement of the shops is also effective to make people feel actually that they are coming to a fantasy world. The shop street seems a gate to another place.
Also there are many food shops near the theaters in Disney Land. People buy drinks and foods before and after the show.

...This topic made me want to go to Disney Resort.

Disney Resort

Mari, that's interesting for me, too. When I go to Disney Resort, I usually buy souvenirs before going back because I don't want to walk around with them during the day. Moreover a lot of shops at the entrance and exit are convenient for visitors. We don't have to go back to the other area for what we want to buy.

My hometown

My hometown is Hatsudai. I don't know what its well-known products are, but it's a little famous for New National Theater and Opera City. There are some halls and theaters, so we can see various plays and concerts there. (I hear Aoyama Orchestra club sometimes come and perform concerts!) There aren't any sightseeing places except them because Hatsudai is a suburban residential town. The location is not bad, therefore it's good to live in.

Thank you for reading and I also want to know your hometown.

Geography☆

I was surprised to find Starbucks words yuka!! It gave me a new impression. I want to enjoy coffee more with thanks to the people who found the coffee beans for us.

By the way, I think Disney Land and Disney Sea's geography is also interesting. Most of the shops and restaurants are near the entrance and exit doors. This structure makes us to buy presents for the memory of the day. Whenever I go to the Disney, I buy the presents before going back to home. Also there are blocks of the attractions. For instance, talking on the Disney Sea there are Arabian Coast, Mermaid Lagoon and American Waterfront. Attractions are placed in the theme not separated. This formulation makes us as if we are in the different world!!

What do you think?

You are on the right track!

Yuka and Maiko, you are definitely discussing the right things: hometowns, regional differences, inago Wow!. Keep up the good work. Blog on!

Geography

Kaori, I was surprised to hear the relation between El Nino and tofu. I like tofu. So I don't want el nino to be occured.

And Mami, the picture of Aurora is very beautiful!! I think that the real aurora will be beyond my expectation.

And Maiko, I'm from Ibaraki. In Ibaraki, Natto is well-known product. So there are a lot of goods that is relate to natto in gift shop in Ibaraki.

About Starbucks Words

I've just been thinking of Starbucks Words on Geography. I wonder I could understand what it would indicate. However in my opinion, it says that coffee beans have each different features according to the production center and the differences come from the location and climate. So we can enjoy some kinds of coffee taste.

Dr. Armstrong I'm afraid whether this statement is wrong or not, but it's a little complicated for me to talk about geography.

The Japan Starbucks Words on Geography

(Note the British spelling of "flavor.")

To Kaori

Yes!! Rare chocolate is sold from place to place now. However, Sirusumaria, which is the name of a sweet shop in Hiratsuka, made rare chocolate first in Japan☆ I heard this fact from my mother.
Sorry, I'm not sure that the spelling of "Sirusumaria" is correct. Do you know this shop? Many kinds of sweets are sold there and it is very delicious!! If you have a chance, please try to eat them.

To Mari and Yuka

Thanks for your wards girls. I'll welcome your comming to our shop, even at Chrismas Yuka(^-^) And discount? Why not? But make sure to come when I am working, or to come with me.
And congratulation on your test Mari! Good job!

Geography...

IIt sounds quite difficult..., I'm still confusing. I think I understand what to discuss, but wonder how to discuss. For example about "culture," maybe we can tell each other about the knowlage. But how can we "discuss" about that?

By the way, where are you from all? I'm living Kobuti with my family, so for me, Fuchinobe is really local. I'm sorry but I think I have nothing to tell you. I want to know about your cities!

To Yukiko & Mami

Yukiko☆
I didn't know Hiratsuka City is the cradle of rare chocolate.
I thought the cradle of rare chocolate is foreign country or Hokkaido,
Because Hokkaido is famous for it.
Right then, do rare chocolate sell in Hiratuka from place to place?

Mami☆
I hard the fact that people in Nagano eat grasshopper.
Because, My grandfather came from Nagano.
He said grasshopper is good and larva of bee(ハチノコ)is good, too.
Do you eat larva of bee?
I hard that in Nagano larva of bee was sold with can.(缶詰め)

Eating Customs

To Yukiko, I also haven't known the fact, and I wonder why Hiratsuka city relates to chocolate. I don't understand it absolutely.

By the way, In Nagano, where is my hometown, we have a custom to eat grasshopper!!!!(いなご!!!!!!( ゚Д゚))They eat them after make it a shellfish boiled in sweetened soy sauce(佃煮)Although I am from Nagano, I never have understood its goodness, never!!! I don't want to eat it!!!!

I tried to put up its picture, but I stopped it because it is very nasty...

Other Geographies!

Photos of books relating to "Geographies":

Woman: An Intimate Geography

The Geography of Childhood

What is Geography?

Let me explain "geography" a bit more fully. "Geo-" means "land" and "-graph-" means "writing" (or drawing), "-y" is a noun suffix that here means "study of." So, "the study of drawing/writing the land", in other words, "mapping." So anything to do with countries, cities, landscapes, landmarks, mountains, sea, weather, civilization, travel, culture, the environment, the Earth are all parts of legitimate discussions of geography.

ALSO, let's imagine the earth, the world as an "environment", in other words, a contained system with certain features and functions. Can we not also transfer that idea to that microcosm of the planet Earth that is our human body? The human body is composed of 75-80% water (just like the Earth). Our body can be hurt or damaged or killed by "polluting" it--- with chemicals like smoke and radiation and cancer-causing agents and too much overuse---(just like the Earth). There are other features by which we can discuss a "geography of the body."

ALSO, we can extend this idea to virtual "systems". For example, we can discuss the Internet as having a geography, and "traffic", and "landmarks", and even "pollution" (spam). Other virtual geographies include relationships, the brain (mental processing) and economies.

Some current examples of books from Amazon.com: The Geography of Thought; Geography of Religion; Woman, An Intimate Geography; and The Geography of Childhood (see book pictures).

Be creative. Let's discuss "geography" from various wide perspectives. We have a magnificent start with the excellent mention of a relation between El Nino and tofu. Interesting, huh? There are many such interrelations. Blog on!

Is this about geography?...

I also didn't know the relation between El Nino and tofu. It is very interesting!!
Now, I write about chocolate. Hiratsuka City, where I live in, is the cradle of rare chocolate(生チョコ). Do you know this fact? I hadn't known about this, but my mother told me.

By the way, is this included in geography?? I'm wondering... What is geography? I also don't understand exactly. It is very difficult for me.

To Chisumi&Mami

Chisumi♡
Thank you for watching my dance club's performance.
I'm very happy to be watched, and to be said "Watch dance again".
I'm to dance on 27th December. If you have a free time , Please come to watch dance(*ゝω・)ノ♥♥♥ ・゚:*:゚
By the way, now do you stay in a camp with club's member?
I hope that you enjoy it.

Mami♡
the picture which you put is very beautiful!!!
I' m eager to watch aurora.
I heard that it is very difficult for us to watch it.
If we will be able to watch it ,It is very lucky♪

Aurora

To Kaori, I didn't know the relation to El Nino and Tofu!! I was surprised at this fact, because I haven't thought ever that El Nino relates to Tofu...and I was satisfied about it. It is interesting!!

Now, I am going to talk about aurora. It is very beautiful natural phenomena, isn't it?! We can see it in only much cold place for example Alaska, Canada and the northern of America and even if we go there in appropriate time, we can hardly see it. And the colder the temperature fall, the more beautiful we can see it!!
The incidence of aurora seems to relate to plasma, but no one has found out this mechanism. So it is mysterious effect!! I do wish to go to see aurora until the end of my life.

Thank you☆

Today I passed the skating grade tast!!! Thank you for your kind words!! I was so nervous but I did my best.
Thanks for your advice, I enjoyed it Yukiko.
Yuka thank you for the "kit kat" I ate it before the test. It encouraged me a lot☆

Thank you very much☆

Do you know relation between El Nino and tofu(豆腐)?

Hi!
I feel refreshed today, because first book report was finished.

Well, I'm going to write about this week's theme, Geography.
it is difficult for me to write this theme ,because I thought about geography, but I didn't exactly understand it.
and then I thought geography class at high school, I remember interesting story which my teacher lectured.

Do you know what's happened when El Nino occur?
at first I explain El Nino. El Nino is a phenomena's name (temperature of seawater rise about 1~2℃.)
When El Nino happen, catch of sardine(イワシ) decrease, and then keeping(飼料) run short, as a result plies of America's soybean(ダイズ) jump.
Finally Japanese tofu's plice rise .

When I listen this story, I was interesting in it.
What do you think? (*´∀`*)ノ

・・・・・・after all, theme , Geography, is very difficult!!!!!

☆Dear Yuka and Mai☆

Thank you for a nice comment! I think my cold is gradually recovering(^^)

These days, it is warm at noon, but there is a sudden drop in temperature at night. If we are careless about our condition, we are likely to catch a coold soon!! So, not only washing hands and gargling(うがい) but also a health care are important from now on☆☆

To tell the truth, I went to bed 4:00 am last night because of the book report......so, I will sleep early today.

To my regret

Today, the soccer circle which I belong to had a game. But I couldn't join the game because I injured my leg three weeks ago. Although I thought I recovered from the hurt earlier and participate in today's game, my doctor stopped me. It was very sad.
However, I was also said that I will recover soon. I will be able to play soccer next week. But It becomes cold, recently, so I have to take care not to injure more filmly.
I want to join a game next time!

To Mai

Hello!! I haven't watched Nodame cantabile yet. I want to watch it but I always lose... So I hope to watch Nodame cantabile next week. Can I watch you on TV?? I wish I also could have been to Saitama as a extra.

Tomorrow, I'll meet my friend of high school at Yokohama after the classes. I'm looking forward to seeing her♪♪♪ I haven't met her for two months. She and I belonged to the same club, soft tennis club. I want to spend time with her as long as possible!!!

To Mari

You did extra of Nodame?! Wao!!
I like this comic! it's so fun♪AndI like Eita very much♡ So I' m very jerious that you could see him nearly!!!

Nodame cantabile ♪

Last Monday, I went to Saitama with my friend and superior of my dormitory because we are selected as one of the extra of Nodame cantabile.
Have you ever watched it on TV?? It is very very funny so I love this TV program!!
I was very happy because I could see most of the popular characters of Nodame.
We went there very early so we could be seated near the stage. That time, they shooted the scene of the play of A orchestra in school festival.
We were excited because we could see Hiroshi Tamaki, Naoto Takenaka, Eita, Keisuke Koide, Saeko, Asami Mizukawa, Juri Ueno very nearly !!

We had a wonderful time and I can't forget this experience.
If you have not watched it yet, please watch it because it is very interesting I think.

From fall to winter.

Today is very nice day but also cold.
Masato and Mika, are you ok? I also feel chilly and have a runny nose.
It's going to winter so temperature will be more serious...
We have to be careful not to catch a cold !!

To Yukiko☆

Thanks for your advice!! I was really encouraged☆ I will do my best tomorrow and enjoy the test♪♪

Take care.

Mika and Masato, are you all right? I also had a cold the other day, but I've got well now. Recently the weather is always changing. We have to care about our conditions more. I think sleeping very much is the best way to be better. Take care of yourself.

Cold......(>_<)

I have caught a cold since last Sunday. My temperature has dropped, but I have a sore throat and nasal voice(鼻声 in Japanese).........

In the sycle of the seasons(季節の変わり目 in Japanese), we tend to be a bad condition. Especially, influenza will start to spread from now on. I am going to condition myself for a illness!!! Take care that you don't catch a cold, every one!!

☆To Masato☆
Did you catch a cold, too? I hope you will be better soon. Take good care of yourself♪♪

Lately...

We have had some good weather lately but gradually it's getting cold. Especially early in the morning, I sometimes wake up because of the coldness. In addition to this coldness, because I often stay up late at night and my sleeping time is short, finally I caught a cold....
I really want to recover soon !!

To Mari

Good evening♪ I read your journal and I was surprised. You have the grade test the day after tomorrow!! I didn't know that there is the test of skating grade. I believe you can skate well☆ Moreover, you will take part in the December tournament. Good luck, Mari!!!!!
I'm also easy to tense up when I play games of tennis... So instead of tensing up, I try to enjoy tennis very much. I think doing my best and enjoying are important★ So let's enjoy!!!!!

To Maiko

Yeah, Christmas is coming and this year will end soon. I have to apologize to you for your hard work on Christmas season. Actually my family buy fried chicken at Kentucky for Christmas dinner. We don't go there so often, however on only Christmas we go to buy chicken every year. By the way, sometime I want to go to your working place and get a cute toy.

Hi!!

To, Maiko
Time pasts so fast isn't it?? It's already November and then Christmas is coming soon!! I have no planning what to do on that day... Maiko, good luck!! I undesrstand customers feeling because I also want to eat chickens on the Christmas♪ Do your best!! By the way, do you wear the Santa Claus's hat?? It's cute!! I want to go to your shop to eat chickens☆ Please reduce the price for me♪(^^)

The day after tomorrow, I have the grade test for the skating and I must pass it because my senior applied for the December tournament already... I have lots of pressure... I have no confidence. I am not strong at the test(本番). Is there any way not to be tensed up(緊張する)??
I will bring chocolate snack "Kit Kat(きっと勝つ)"(^^)

Christmas...!

Wow, Christmas, ...good luck Chisumi, it is more than a month later! That very day, I have to work. I'm sure that's gonna be a terrible day... I had it last year too.... Do somebody know about the disturebance at Kentucky Fried Chicken on Chrismas!? It is really awful! I want to show you the horible line waiting for chiken. Now we are taking reservetion for Chrismas but I always want to refuse...(-_-)
Although, I'm looking forward to Chrismas lighting ceremony too. But please don't wish for White Crismas, I have to work twice harder then.

To chisumi

Thank you for reading my journal! Sorry, I forgot to write where I live. I live in higashimatsuyama city in Saitama prefecture. In the walking course, all people can enjoy beautiful nature and feel refreshed while walking. If you had a chance, please join and try walking.

Now, Christmas is coming as you said. I'm looking forward to Christmas' lighting ceremony in Sagamihara. I don't know what atmosphere it is. But I expect it will be beautiful.

Christmas

To Hiroki
Where do you live in? I think that to walk 30km is so hard!! I will be able to lose weight if I participate this event♡ I think it's good not only for health but also for communication.

By the way, Christmas is going to come soon♡ The town will be beautiful with illumination. In Japan, there are a lot of people who spend time with their lover in Christmas. But... this year, I don't have boyfriend. I hope that I can spend Christmas happily...

Dear,Mika

Wow!!! You really are "Death Note " fan aren't you? I really want to see! You have to be very careful not to tell your friend about the story and the truth that you had watched it already.(^^)
I like Tamaki Hiroshi but....... I haven't seen Nodame... I want to see but I missed first drama and I have part time job... Although today I didn't have part time job so I am going to watch it♪

By the way, do you know "餃子の王将"?? It is the restaurant in the Fuchinobe!! Today I ate at the restaurant after school. I ate Gyouza and Chinese noodles soup and Chinese fried rice. It was so delicious. Volume was so much that I felt fullness after eating. I recommend you whenever you are hangry☆ I am sleepy now☆★

To Mami☆

Good evening♪ Mami!! I went to Nagano for skiing three years ago. I went skiing at Shiga Kogen. Do you know there? It was great!!! Although it was in March, the temperature was very low and it usually snowed. That was the first time to sky. I couldn't sky well, so I want to go skiing again!!
Hiratsuka City, where I live in, is near the sea. So it doesn't snow very much and of course, Hiratsuka is warmer than Nagano. I feel Fuchinobe is cooler than Hiratsuka. I'm wondering whether it is easy to snow in Fuchinobe or not.

My holiday

This weekend, I returned to my home town, Nagano. As soon as I got off the Asama Shinkansen, it was cold!!!! I was surprised!!!!! Although I was wearing sweater, I couldn't endure. One of the most difficult things was that I couldn't sleep without two or more shirts. Nagano's fall is very cold. Especially in night, it increases. But it causes beautiful effect. Cold makes air clear, so we can see the sky and the constellation beautifully! The air also good! I recommend to go Nagano to see the sky★

To Yuka☆& Ryoko☆

Hi, Yuka♪ I could sleep longer than week days, but I had to go outside. So I'm still tired very much... Thank you for your attention!!!
Yeah... I also want to talk with you about "The Indian in the Cupboard." I haven't finished the book report, so I have to work hard this week. Let's talk tomorrow!

Hi, Ryoko★ I'm sorry that I couldn't go to the festival with you... I really wanted to go. I wish I could have visited and met your friends of high school.
November 23rd is our anniversary♪♪ So let's go to somewhere on this day.

Thank you...

Dear Yukiko and Ryoko

Yukiko, you are always busy with club activities. Could you sleep well today?
By the way, I have something to talk with you. I finished reading "The Indian in the Cupboard" today. That was intereting for me, too. Now we have to write book report.

Ryoko, what a coincidence!! I'm going to watch the movie on the same day. Let's talk about it next day. Did you enjoy the show in school festival?

Thank you, see you tomorrow.

† To Mari †

Thank you for a nice comment, Mari!!!!

Yes, in the movie of "Death Note", both Nia and Mero, who are successors(後継者 in Japanese) of L, didn't appear. In addition, many scenes of the original were remaked and combined in the movie. But I can assure that you can enjoy it. Also I like the theme song "Dani California" sung by "Red Hot Chill Peppers"

By the way, you like Hiroshi Tamaki???! I like him, too(≧ω≦)He is so cool, isn't he?? I watch a drama "Nodame Cantabile"every Monday, because he appears on it♪ But I'm sorry that I don't have a plan to see the movie, " Tada Kimiwo Aisite Matsu".........but Iwant to see!!

To tell the truth, I will see the movie "Death Note" again with my friend next Sunday.....yes, I couldn't wait, and went to the theater ahead of the promise. But I can't to tell her that I have already seen it, so I will see again.

Then, have fun to watch "Tada Kimiwo Aisite Matsu", Mari☆

Saturday, November 04, 2006

Dear Mari♡

I really want to see "tada kimi wo aishiteru" too!!!!!!I like Tamaki and Aoi Miyazaki♡So I must see it.
I'll go to theater on 12th November with my friend☆If you see earlier, please tell me your impression♪

.....

I completely forgot about this blog...

Today, I went to school festival of International Christian University♪
It was much smaller than Aoyama festival, but I could meet my high school's friends☆

Tomorrow, I will go Waseda festival to watch "Impulse" and "Taka and Toshi" !!
I'm really looking forward to watching them♪

Dear,Mika

I want to see "Death Note"!! I saw the first half of the movie!!! Also my brother has all of the comics so I read it!! It is very interesting comic, isn't it?? I have never read such comics as this. It is difficult and I have to use head to think hard. Although once I start reading this I can't put off!!! I am so sad that comic had ended... How does it end at the movie? I want to know. I heard that there were no Nia appearing. I am so interested and looking forward to seeing this movie!!!

However I have to see "Tadakimiwoaishitemasu" first because I like Tamaki Hiroshi very much(^^) Have anyone saw this movie already??

† Death Note †

I saw a movie "Death Note -The Last Name-". Does anyone like it or saw the first half of this movie?? I like " Death Note" very much! Today was the first day which this movie was released!!!!!

Although most of you may know the story, I want to tell about it briefly.

One day, a very smart man, Right, get a black note. In fact, people who are written their name on the note will die. Right use the note and kill offenders to make a idal world. But a detective who is as smort as Right, L, starts to investigate him.......so two genius fight for each justice.

The original is a very famous comic book, and of course I read it. As you know the title, this story is not peaceful. But the battle of two genius is so exciting and full of suspense.

Then, the movie finished a litte different from the comic, but it was amusing. I can't tell who win the last. So, if you are interested in it, please go to the movie theater☆☆

To Yuka and chisumi

To Yuka
Yes, I did enjoy the holidays! I think the camp was good for me because I would have lazy holidays without that. I want to go to next camp as soon as possible!
If you have a chance, please come to our training hall where we always use. It is in a big Japanese garden so you can enjoy walking around and seeing the beautiful trees and flowers too. I hardly know about Kyudo yet. I think I should study more!

To chisumi
Oh, you are going to a training camp too! I hope you enjoy that! The camp with only freshmen sounds enjoyable♪ I will also go to a small camp in Kyoto with freshmen in January to join Kyudo event that is called "Seijin-shakai". It is the Kyudo event for the people who will become 20 years old. I haven't been to Kyoto. So I'm really looking forward it!

By the way, I have a examination to get grade of Kyudo next week. I'm very nervous now...

Today...

Today I could sleep well. I was really tired, so I slept about ten hours. I'm happy♪ But I want to sleep more. I can't oversleep tomorrow because I have a class. After the class, I'm going to go to Jinba to cheer my circle, Eleutheria. The game is Eletheria vs Tevec. Masato Miyazaki belongs to Tevec. I believe Eleutheria will win!!

I'm watching TV now. This is the first time to watch in this week. I'm watching a volleyball game. Japan vs Kenya. Japan won the first set!! It was great and powerful. I want Japan to win this game.

Big event

Today, a big walking event began in the city where I live. The event is called 'Three Day March.' In the event, there are five courses - 5km, 10km, 20km, 30km, and 50km. A lot of people participate in the event every year. (Some people come from other country!) I would often join in 30km course when I was elementary student. It was in the fourth grade that I participated in the event with friends for the first time. While walking, we had a good chance to talk to many people, such as the eldery and people who came other country. It was difficult to walk 30km three days, but we could enjoy and walk 30km all day. It was good experience for me.
Since then, I participate in the event almost every year. However, I couldn't join in the event recently. I want to go again near the future!

To Mami.M

Oh!! You belong to Kyudo club!! You got up at 3:30 a.m. and shoot 100 arrows a head!! I can't believe it... I respect you. Next week, I will have a training camp in Yamanashi, too. I belong to barefeet, soccer circle. I am team secretary. In Yamanashi, we will have games. I'm going to do my best for supporting players. And the members who is going to go to training camp is only freshmans. So I also want to enjoy it with my friends♡

Holiday

Last week, my mother came to Tokyo from Fukuoka to meet me and observe my birthday. I was little sad because I couldn't go to Aoyama Festival, but I was so happy to spend my mother some days. We went to shopping in Shinjyuku, and we went to watch night view of Yokohama. It was beacutiful!! I want to watch again. I love Yokohama.
How was Aoyama festival? Please tell me your feeling of Aoyama festival.

Ah, I'm going to go shopping with my friends soon. See you!

Play

Hello!
I’m sorry to write Mr. Armstrong’s play feelings because my PC was little broken. Mr. Armstrong’ play is so cool! It’s very nice♪I was lucky to watch this play. Thank you for inventing us. But, telling the truth, it was difficult for me to understand what these performers said. Then, I want to watch their performance again!

Thursday, November 02, 2006

Dear, Megumi

Thanks for your reply. Let's go to the Disney together next time♪

Well, Congratulation Megumi!! It's great!! You did great job♪ Did you got something like trophy from the Aoyama? Unfortunately I didn't gone to the festival... I wanted to eat your club's food. It must be delicious!!!!!

To Mami and Mari

Mami, you had hard and busy holidays, however I understood you enjoyed that. I didn't know about Kyudo in detail. Please tell me about your club activities more.

Mari, you were so lucky that you could ride all the attractions. We had to wait for two or three hours to ride popular roller coasters, so we couldn't ride so many attractions. I also want to go to Disney Sea and see the show in Christmas season.

Aoyama Festival!!

In Aoyama Festival, my circle sold ice cream on hotcake. I walked and sold it around the university. I wore the uniform which is my high school one, so I was a little blush. Moreover, as I usually wear jeans, I hadn't wore a skirt for a long time. But... I enjoyed Aoyama Festival very much!!!!! I was very tired but I had a lot of fun♪ Hotcake sold out, so I was happy.

Tomorrow is a holiday☆ I can oversleep!!! I couldn't sleep well the day before yesterday because I had to go to Lalaport for the game of tennis. My superiors took part in Kanto Match. The games didn't finish, so someday I have to cheer them again. I hope to win the games.

Aoyama Festival

In Aoyama festival, I made hot dog and yakisoba-pan. To sell them was very hard for me. To sell them, I pretended a girl who acts cute. Ha-Ha♡ It's joke. But I enjoyed it very much.
To Mami.W
Thank you for buying my hot dog♡
And in Aoyama festival, I watched Kaori dancing. She was very cool!! I wann to watch it again.

I came back from a camp!

Hi! I'd been to Nagano as a training camp from last Thursday to Tuesday. It was very hard and very enjoyable. I played Japanese archery more than 12 hours a day. Nagano was more comfortable to play sports than Tokyo but it was very very cold in the morning and night. On Monday, we got up at 3:30 a.m. and shoot 100 arrows a head. I was very exhausted! After that, we enjoyed some programs for third-year students because they retire from club in this camp. I played a short drama with my friends. (I'm very disappointed that I couldn't watch And Then There Were None. I like to watch dramas.) I hope my seniors enjoyed our play. I feel sad that there won't be them at practice anymore but I know I can see them again. So I will improve my skill to surprise them when they come at training someday.
By the way, I was appointed to one of the hard positions which connect our club and other school's Kyudo clubs. I have no confidence...Also I'm in a slump now. But I love Kyudo. I will do my best to be able to take proud in myself.

To Mari

I envy you for going to Disney Sea!! I love Disney Sea very much, especially Mermeid Lagoon♡♡ It's very lovely and cheerful area, isn't it?? I've never seen the night show, so I hope to see it when I visit there next time♪ I heard that the Christmas event will start soon! I I'm sure that the Christmas of Disney Sea is very beautiful and romantic.
By the way, Aoyama Festival was finished in a flash...and my squash club got a first prize by popularity poll! I was very glad and club members were all satisfied with this result. I also went around the campus to eat and see various performances. I enjoyed the 4 days very much.

Disney Sea

Yesterday was the Halloween and I went to the Disney Sea with my friends including Aoi. In the Disney Sea there was no event about the Halloween, so most of the people went to the Disney Land to enjoy the Halloween events. Therefore, at the Disney Sea it was not crowded, rather there were only a few people. We rode all kinds of the attractions and then we rode the attractions of the roller coaster about 5 for each. Waiting time for "Tower of terror" was only about 20~40 minutes!!! We rode so many attractions and ate lots!! I liked the coconut icecream♪ The night show was about love story of the water and fire. It was very dramatic, beautiful and impressive. I became to like Disney Sea better than the Disney Land!! Food is very delicious and mostly it is very romantic☆ In the future I want to go to the Disney World at the America!!

Today was...

Halloween!!!! I almost forgot it was today!! It's actually not a big event in Japan so I didn't do anything Halloween related but I saw some people who dressed up in funny costumes in Shibuya. That was kinda interesting. Today was just a shopping day for me. I got some clothes and a book that I have to write a report. So now back to my usual stressful life of school and work....

To kumiko

I'm same as you!!! Yesterday I went to Aoyama festival second time with my friends. We arrived at there on 2:30. But when we arrived, we couldn't believe that everything was already finished!!! So we left there and went cafe....But even though, we talked a lot at cafe, so we had very nice time♡

Halloween!!!!

31, October is Halloween! Do you know Halloween? It is the All Saint's Day Eve. All Saint's Day is the anniversary of Christian and the custom is from Scotland and Ireland. Now, it is famous in all over the world especially America. Children visit various homes and say," Trick or treat!"(this means if you don't give me sweet or candy, I may trick!!) Then, people give them some sweet ,and it is generally pumpkin's sweet.
In Japan, this festival is not famous but today many shops served foods cheap! Some shops' clerks were dressing up as pumpkin or witch or funny characters. I enjoyed this mood enough♡
