I also felt that it was difficult to understand what they say. I could hardly catch the words. But I could understand drama roughly from actor's look, voice and so on. And ending of play was beyond my expectation. I feel that I want to read original.

I'm afraid that I didn't go to Aoyama Festival. Actually I went to Disneyland with my friends yesterday. We had expected it wouldn't be very crowded. But a lot of people were there in spite of the weekday!! I was really surprised at that. It was so crowded that we couldn't walk straight. We managed to see the Halloween parade and Haunted Mansion in special version. That was the first time I saw the parade in this season. I feel still tired today, however I thought we enjoyed it a lot.

How was Aoyama festival?

Today I went to Aoyama festival with my friends, which was supposed to be a fun thing but the thing is, when we got there(maybe around 3:00 pm), the festival was already OVER!!!!!! We were like "WHAT?!!!!Seriously???". Yeah, it was kinda miserable. Don't you think it's too early to close it? So we couldn't do anything there. Oh well. I had so much fun today though. We went to a nice restaurant and talked for hours. I had a great time! So we don't have school tomorrow, either!!! I love that.

Thank you Mr. Armstrong!! I enjoyed the play and this ending was interesting and unexpected!! Actually I didn't catch actor's words but I barely understand them by their atmosphere and gestures. The play makes me interested in original story, so I will read it because I bought it!

Today was last day of Aoyama festival. I went there with my friends before I went my part time job. I watched ADL's performance!!! It made me excited!!!! And all of them is cool and sexy♡They were really enjoyed dancing and made the best performance★
I thought I want to dance...My feeling filled me more. I’m going to go to next time!!

This particular drama may be be a fairly easy one for you to catch because you had some preparation and the plot is somewhat plain. Nonetheless, it is a literary classic from England written in 1939! It is no surprise that certain vocabulary and ways of speaking would be tough to catch. Don't fret about what you couldn't get; celebrate what you could understand! Just think: you enjoyed an evening of English language theatre and could generally follow it. Good work and good for all of you!



OK, about the murders. Judge Wargrave was insane. In his long career, he had always wanted to be able to kill ("get justice against") certain people--that he had found out about---who had in some way directly or indirectly caused the death of someone(s) but who, for various reasons, could not be touched by the law. Anthony Marston was killed first because he had "accidently" run over two children. Mrs. Rogers (the cook) and her husband (the houseman) had "neglected" to give heart medicine to their elderly employer, who was going to leave them money in her will. General MacKenzie had deliberately sent his wife's young lover to the heart of battle, knowing that he would die there. Religious fanatic Emily Brent had very heartlessly fired her young assistant when she was found to be pregnant, and the young woman then committed suicide. Dr. Armstrong had been an alcoholic and once was drunk while operating and killed the patient (but it was kept a secret because only the nun who assisted him knew about it . . .) Wargrave was, of course, not really killed. It was a plot with Armstrong to try to find out the real murderer. After this, Wargrave pushed Armstrong off a cliff and made it look like suicide. People would believe this easily because Armstrong was so nervous! Blore had sent an innocent man to prison---where he died---in order to receive money from a gang. Lombard had indirectly caused the death of his 22 African safari members. Vera had allowed a young boy---her lover's nephew---to drown because the lover would have inherited a lot of money if the boy had not been next in line to receive it (and the lover was too poor to marry her otherwise). Ironically, the lover dropped her after this happened. Justice Wargrave had sentenced what was widely considered to be an innocent man to death, but, again ironically, it was later proven that the man, Seton, was actually guilty.

Wargrave saved Vera to the last because he thought she was the smartest and because he wanted to end it by "hanging a woman". In the book, the ending is different. No one survives and it is the "perfect crime", baffling the police until Wargrave's detailed written confession is found, included as a postscript at the end of the book.

Fun Halloween mystery, eh?

I was very impressed about the play. I think everyone thought like me.

Figure skating!!

Did you see Mai Asada and Miki Andou's playing?? It was broadcasted just few minutes ago!! Yesterday was the short program and today was the free program. I was so excited to see. Miki wan the tournament!! She revived greatly♪ I don't know why but Mai didn't do well... She didn't fell down but she jumped less than the plan. In the future I want to go to see the tournament!! It must be powerful!! I also want to see Arakawa's ice show. It should be impressive☆

☆Play and Tokyo Tower☆

I came back home just now!! Then, I want to talk about today's play.

Likewise Hiroki and Mari, I also felt that it is difficult for me to understand the what the casts said..........in addition, there were many foreign people and they sometimes laugh during the play although I could'nt know why(＞＿＜）But I managed to imagine the atmosphere.

By the way, I went to Tokyo Tower alone today! This is my first time to go there.Then, there are two ways to go up the observatory(展望台 in Japanese) One is to pay 820 yen and use the elevator. The other is that you must climb the very long stairs, but you don't need money. I didn't kyow the the latter, and paid 820 yen, so I regreted it.
The night view was so beautiful. To tell the truth, I have a fear of heights(高所恐怖症 in Japanese）, but I forgot it and watched the landscape momently.
I had a good time to see the play and go to Tokyo Tower♪♪

Play!

I came home just now, and I want to write about today's play.

To tell the truth, it was difficult for me to understand what they said, but I could imagine because I had known the whole story, "And Then There Were None." The story in the play is different from the original. Although the novel's ending is serious, play's ending is funny. I like both ending.

I could have a nice time and I was interested in Agatha Christie's novels!

I came back home!!

I just came back from the play, "And Then There Were None." It was fun and I enjoyed watching the play!! But unfortunately I couldn't understand the all what they were saying... It was difficult for me to understand... I want to know why SirLawrence Wargrave did such a thing? Also what is the connection between Vera Claythorne? Someone please tell me!!

I enjoyed seeing Mr.Armstrong's play!! I liked the atmosphere of the Tokyo American Club　too♪

From　tomorrow till Tuesday is holiday!!!I'm so happy♡　I’ｌｌ　go to　aoyama　festival on Monday. I want to eat many things!! Of corse I'll buy things which this IE　class' members will sell!!

Good evening, Yuka☆ I also bought "The Indian in the Cupboard." I read whole story of this book once. I really enjoyed it. I think this book is worth reading for not only children but also adults. I was very excited and learned many things from the charactors.
To tell the truth, the book which I'm most interested in is "I, Houdini." So I want to try to read this book after I finish the first book report!!

The Indian in the Cupboard

I bought "The Indian in the Cupboad" on the Internet the other day and it arrived yesterday. I've just started to read it today morning. I've only read about twenty pages, but I thought it was great. It is nice day to me because many things which make me satisfied were happened!!
First, today is my payday♡I was really looking forward to it since I had no money this month… So I was truly relieved. But this money may be gone soon unless I use it carefully.

Second, the very beautiful girl who is my coworker asks me to go to dance club! I was glad to get along with coworkers.

Third, when I returned home, my sister waited me with her cooking!!!I was surprised at this unexpected dinner. She prepared aji-no-hiraki,to-hu and enoki misosiru,and Korean laver(韓国海苔). It is a small supper but I was so happy that I ate two portions of it.

Yesterday☆

Yesterday, I met my frirnd at Shinjuku and go to karaoke and shopping♪
Because i saw her after an interval of five months, we had a very pleasant time.
After that I worked at doma-doma( bar) from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Aoyama Festival will be held in this weekend♪♪ I'm really looking forward to visiting. Our squash club will sell tacos which tastes ume, kimchi, and mayonnaise. Please look for the mascot of cactus! It's a mark of our shop.

To Mami.M, I think if I have a baby, I may resign my job. I like working and want to do having pride about my job, but I don't want to make baby feel lonely. My mother have given me much affection and brought up my sister and me well, and when I was young, she didn't have her job. After we grew up, she had her job and is working now. I want to raise children as my mother did.

Club

Today I had a club activity after school. I'm in the figure skating club. I skated for 6 hours. My seniors are very strict that I was scolded many times. When I skated for 3 hours, my body felt heavy and couldn't control myself. I was annoyed. I fell down a lot. I felt sad and for the first time at the skating I cried. I am in a slump now... Tomorrow I am going to the skate link to practice again but I don't have a confidence to master that skill... Now, I don't feel like doing skating. I don't know what to do... I have a competition next month and I am going to participate that. What do you do when you are slump? Someone help me please!!

I was surprised that many friends have part-time job to teach English. I am not good at teaching, so I regard them. Teaching is learning and involves responsibility.

Part-time job

I 'm enjoying to read your part-time job talking. I was surprised at the fact there are various kinds of jobs that university students can do. When we were in high school, we couldn't choose where we wanted to work. Workplaces are limited for under 18 year-old students. Or as Megumi said, some high school don't allow students to have part-time jobs. Now I work at a convenience store, but I want to do the other jobs sometime.

About Working

Oh, I was too busy this week so I couldn't come here three time... But I will try.

Now, I'm going to write about working. I myself have not had a part-time-job for long span. I only had short span on summer or the end of year. So I'd like to write about future job.
I think that working in Japan is difficult for us now, as Dr. Armstrong said. Not only finding job but also keep working is not easy especially for women because there are the current that women should resign their job , do housework and bring up children after her marriage. The surrounding have been better but it is still difficult to cope with both working and bringing up children.

My ideal job is to be an illustrator. I think it is not for the children's book but I want to draw and paint anyway. But I know this job is quite difficult to gain and also keep working...

I'd like to ask everyone. If you get married or have a baby, will you resign your job? Or if you are a man, will you say your wife to resign her job?

My Part-time job

Hello, everyone!!

Now, I have a part-time job. I'm working in cloths shop in Yokohaama. In there, seniors are always very kind to me!! I started that job from this summer vacation. So I became get used to doing it. I work there almost Saturday and Sunday, sometimes on Wednesday. This work is easy for me, so I want to do this work long.

When I was high-school student, I worked in PIZZA-LA, taking orders and making pizza. That was hard, but very fun!! People are very funny, and always made me laugh. I kept on that work for 1 year.

I can get not only pleasure but also money!!

Next week...

Good evening!! I'm very tired, so I want to go to bed early tonight. I wish I can so.
Tomorrow, I'm going to play tennis from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. I like sports very much, so I'm looking forward to playing tennis♪♪♪

I believe your students would pass the examination!! The reason is that my student I wrote it before, didn't know the grammar at all. At the summer vacation, I taught her from what is the Verb, Subject ,Noun and so on. Even though she could not do well in the English, she passed the exam. I think your student will be high school student next year!!

My part-time job.

I always wrote this blog at midnight. Whenever I view IE 2blog , I think my life style must be changed.(*ﾉ∀－*)

I talk about my part-time job.
I work at French restaurant which is near my house .
This work is very good for me, because I can go to the restaurant in 5minutes and there are many clerk who is 18-19years old.
And then, I enjoy my job.

Last Sunday, I worked from9:30 to 9:00.
It was very hard for me to work so many time ,but I need money for club, I must do that.

Everyday I think that I need more time, for resting my body and for making money and for studying.

Responsibility

I was surprised that many of you work at juku. I think teaching is very difficult. So I respect you. Like teacher, I think that to work means that we have to have responsibility. It's very great, but I feel a little nervous. I think I have to adapt to have responsibility for everything around me gradually...

Yesterday, I went to book store (Kinokuniya) to find Lynne Reid Banks's book. There is one of the biggest book stores in Japan, but I didn't find her book. I searched various shops using search system. Finally I made all clerk in register find out her books!! In spite of our efforts, any shops didn't have her books now!!! So I ordered it from Amazon.
I could find her books there, but...it arrives at my house 7-10 or more days later....
I wonder if I can finish reading it by the day I submit a book report.

If anyone knows the store which has her books, please tell me!!

Working.

I have searched something part-time job now.
Because I need money in order to buy what I want. Now I live on only money which my mother sent. It's not enough for me and I decided to work when I found nice job.

We need money to live or survive. So we have to work as human.
But we are student now so we should study more harder than working, I think. We study at school in order to make dreams come true. Part-time job is also important thing through our college student period because we can learn manner of society. That's why, I think we should be concentrated in study first and then secondly working.

By the way, I have many dreams for working. I mean I want to be a teacher of high school and I also want to make TV program at TV company like Fuji TV.
You may think, " What are you thinking ??" because I want to get so many jobs...
However, I will have more eagerness to other jobs after I did part-time jobs.
I think doing what I can absorbed in is the most important thing. So we have to think more and more about career.
Some of you are working at cram school and I think it is very nice because you can understand that teaching is difficult. ( But some think it is easy to teach...)

So I will try to get something part-time job in order to find what I want to do.

Like everyone said, working part-time job would be a great experience. It helps us develop social skills that are very important in society.

As for my dream for the future, I honestly don't know what I want to do. I don't really have anything I'm dying to be. I know I should think about it seriously but I have NO idea!!!! I just want to do something I can enjoy and make good money. Yeah, money is important. One obvious thing is that I do not want to be a writer. I actually don't read books at all. I know I should, but reading makes me sleepy. Besides, I have no writing skill. Maybe I need more time to figure out what I really want to do with my career.

Working...

I read this week's blog, and I found many of you have part-time jobs. Although I don't work part-time job for some reasons now, it is a good oppotunity to know the society and communicate with other people♪ I think it will be a good experience for our life!!
I have a friend who is the same age as me. She is already working instead of going on to college. I'm always surprised and impressed with her talk. She said her job is very rewarding　one, while she should have the responsibility for her work. Now, I can't image that I'll be a member of society in about three years... I wish I can find what I want to do in the future through the campus life in Aoyama.

Hi Mika!! Lately I am enjoying working at the juke. One of my students psssed the entrance examination yesterday and I was so happy♪ It was as if I had passed the examination!! I was moved to tears and cried. To tell the truth, she was not so smart... She was always thinking and talking about her boyfriend. She never studied at home... So I had a lot of pressure to teach her. I studied before the lesson and prepared for her but she never did homework. Sometimes I got angry and sometimes I praised her a lot. I didn't know how to teach better and make her study. Without noticing, the examination had started and I was uncertain if she will pass or not. So I was very happy to hear the good news from her.

Working

Hi!! Today, I will talk about my part-time job.

Now, I have a part-time job basically once a week.(only Wednesday) It is a "juku teacher". I teach 6 student a week. I think teaching is more difficult than I had expected...because there are various types of children. Some are shy, and others are active. So, I have to change my teaching style for fitting their charactores. It is surely hard, but this experience will be good before working. I learned telling something to people is difficult, but important.

Mari, do you enjoy juku working??? I think you teach much better than I! Then, let's do my best each other☆★

Before going

I usually doing part time job at night. Start at 9 o'clock and finish before 12. I'm not good at staying up late so it is a little hard for me.

By the way, I long wanted to live in oversea, this is true. But I can't imagine how can I get job and live. I once think that I want to be a Japanese teacher, you know, just to teach Japanese to abroad people. But actually I don't like to be a "teacher." I'm sure that I'm not good at teaching. Good evening!! Last night I slept only three hours, so today I was so sleepy.....because of this, last night I had my part-time job. Now I'm working for kinds of japanese food restaurant in kichijoji. I work till shop's closing hours, so I mostly got home at almost 1:00A.M. Work is so hard and it makes me so tired. But my coworkers are all funny and kind. I like them very much so I can enjoy my work every time♡　I think working can give us not only money but many important human relations!!!

Talking about my part-time job, I am working in the juku. I started working at there from the summer vacation. I found it very difficult to teach children and earn money. I have many students and I teach English, Japanese and math. I always try my best to teach these subjects. I think it good to experience part time job before going into the society. About Work

Now, I want to write about working.

I had a part-time job for the first time at the restrant when I was 16. People I worked together were very kind but I quited this job soon because of my sickness. But I learned how difficult and hard to get monney so it was a good experience for me, I think.

Now I work at a yakitori shop. Working there is hard but fun so I love this shop but I don't want to work as an office in the future. I want to work where I can develop my ability in English.

It is true that working to get money is important but I want to choose my job according to my dream.

Well, to tell the truth...

Now I have a part time job and I'm totally enjoying, but I don't feel like to work really hard, I mean, in the future. I agree to Chisumi that she said doing part time job is good to know society. I'm doing part time job at K.F.C about an year, and I think I learn a lot of thing such as responsibility, honorific and how communicate with the peoples older and younger then me. And also I agree to Yuka. I think working is really necessary, it is our duty. We should have a job in the future as a member of the society.
But still I don't want to work. Of coures I need money to live, so I will, but I want job which can take enough time for myself. I know it is really difficult to find nowadays.... Well, maybe I'm an arbitrary character. So if I could have a job which I am interested in, as Mai said, I will be happy. On the other hand, I wonder that I should choose the job by preference. What do you think all?

About Work

When I was a high school student, I did a part time job. I worked at cake shop. First, I didn't know how to attend to customers and what to do in the shop. But, the members of the shop taught me what to do kindly, so gradually I could work shrewdly, and I felt that I became a member of society.
And in there, sometimes there were costomers who behaved badly. To see it, I learned I have to act politely toward clerk.
I think working is a chance to know society. We can know a lot of thing that we can't know in school. I think ability to work in society is different from achievement.

Her story is romantic and little sad (it is difficult to explain in English...) When I read her novel, I am always moved and I can feel my pure heart♡ Actually I have not read all her novel, so I want to read another story if I have enough time to do. Every one, now I made up my mind not to do sleep again after the breakfast!!
Indeed, I missed my class last Saturday because of overslept.....I couldn't then that I got up at 10:50. My class starts at 11:00. So you know, it's too late.
I decided not to sleep after breakfast when I have a class starts at 11:00.

But I'm worrying that I may sleep again unconsciously.

Today, it's Sunday, I enjoyed talking with my friends of our dormitory about work.
Two of us work part-time. And me, I have searched a job which I can enjoy myself.
I think we should do a job which we are interested in.

Kumiko, yes, it's true. Most TV is violent, sexist, foolish junk. Reality shows, stupid variety shows, horrible news, bad movies,. . . no wonder so many children grow up confused and violent! But, even if it was mostly intelligent (or even interesting . . .), the other point of it is that I would rather experience life directly rather than sit around doing something passive. Our family evenings are packed with cooking, eating, meeting with friends, reading, sewing, singing, going to lectures or museums or events of various kinds, drawing, playing games, etc. etc. Even if we had interest in TV, I don't see any space of time to watch it! The thing I would never be inclined to do is "just have the TV on in the background" like many people do. I want to give 100% attention to the person I am with or the activity I am working on. Especially, TV would eat into my reading time and I just love reading. Always have. Everyone at my house is that way. So, in fact, NHK will never collect anything from me!

Working is essential to live. Although I will find employment surely in the future, I don't decide any work I want to be, now. I think part-time job is good way to find what kind of work is suitable for. To my regret, I don't have enough time to work (if I had part-time job, I probably couldn't finish some homework). I did a part time job when I was in high school. I quitted this job in May because I don't have time to work at there. I was a teacher of private school. I like this job because I like teaching♪
I taught all subject there. It was very hard to teach science and math, but I enjoyed teaching them.

This week's topic

This week's topic is about working or work place. I'm not sure what I should write, however I'm going to talk about my thoughts of working and my part-time job.

In my opinion, working is necessary for life because we have to earn money to live. And work place is where people are connected with the society.

I work at a convinience store near my house twice a week. The store is usually crowded because there aren't so many shops around there, therefore people come to buy food or general goods instead of supermarket. Despite busy work, the owner and his wife are kind. I can enjoy my work.

Movie

Okay. Let's talk about movies!!
Actually I've been watching a lot of scary movies lately and what movie that scared me the most was "Saw". This movie was like "Whoaa!!!". It's not like Ring or Juon or any of the other horror movies. There's no ghost in it. It's a thrilling suspenseful movie that keeps you guessing what happens next. The ending was just awesome. I was seriously surprised!!!! I recommend it if you are a scary movie fan but if you are not, maybe it's not good for you. It's just so brutal(It's an R-rated movie). So I guess Dr. Armstrong doesn't really like this kind of movie and I'm sure he NEVER wants his daughter to see it. It is not good for kids. But I actually liked it so I also watched "Saw II ". Personally I liked the first one better but second one was not that bad.

Now I want to watch good beautiful movies. Maybe I'll go to TSUTAYA tomorrow so let me know if you know some good movies!!!!

Circle!

Today, I participated in a soccer circle. To my surprise, there were six people of the first participation. I have not played soccer since I was a junior high school student. My strength declined so much, so I was very tired.
But I think some exercise makes us relaxed. Don't you think so?
I want to enjoy soccer and train my body from now on!

When I returned my home and I turned on TV, Base ball game was televised live!!　Today's game was NIPPON HAMU vs SOFT BANK!!!　And it was very important game because today's winner get championship★
This game had many exciting situations. Both member was hard, and I could feel the energy to win from every members.
Eventually, NIPPON HAMU got victory!!!! Congratulation!!!!Especially, SHINJO decided to retire after this season, so I am happy♡


SHINJO is cool guy! His play also nice!!! I recommend watching his last season game.

Hi, every one. I'd like to have your advice, will you please help me?
Well, I got e-mail from German today. He speaks English very well, and love Japanese, especially Kanji. I told him a lot Kanji such as love, promise, Sun and Moon. But this time, he asked me how to say "respect your self," and "trust your self." I think about them long time, but they're gonna be sentence. I can't come up within one word. Can you say them in short word?

Computer

I'm not good at using computer. But, there are some homework which we have to use computer such as "Media Presentation" in our IE Core class. This kind of homework is little heavy for me and it takes much time to finish my homework. So from now on, I want to be used to computer work little by little. If I can't understand how to use computer in class, I will ask you. Please tell me !!

I couldn't believe that it is October because today was very warm like summer. This fall has a lot of rain so I'm very glad to this weather.
However, I've had a cold like Monami since this Tuesday... I haven't caught a cold for 2~3 years so I forgot how painful it is! I had a fever yesterday but today it become better. And also many friends have a cold. May be a cold is prevalent now. Take care everyone!

About my computer☆

Hi, Mari!!! I have my notebook computer. But... I don't know the good place. I'm sorry...
In case of me, I bought my computer at Aoyama Gakuin. It's a new type, so a little expensive. But I like it♪ I can use it whenever I want to write reports. I think that having my computer is very good and convenience. So I recommend you to own your computer!!

I also heard that Akihabara is a good place to buy a computer. I'll ask my family about that when I come home today!!

Mari, I don't have my own computer, neither. We have three computers in my house, but any of them isn't mine. And I've been to Akihabara a few times. Now it became one of the most famous places for sightseeing. It was so crowded with not only Japanese but also foreign people that they couldn't walk straight. I didn't go to a maid cafe, but I saw some girls with interesting costumes.

Today, the weather is very good that I felt so happy☆ I talked with my mother on the phone yesterday, and she said that my hometown, Aizu(Fukushima), is getting cooler and cooler these days... I think autumn is the best season for both study and sports, so I love this season♪ However, autumn season goes very quickly in my hometown. The winter in Aizu is so severe, and what's more, there is a heavy snowfall every year!! In 3 months or so, we'll be able to see a blanket of snow in Aizu. I was surprised and shocked when I met a friends who have never seen snow in Aoyamagakuin!

Last Sunday, I went to Yokohama with my friend who live in near Yokohama. Around PM 3 or 4, Akiko joined us so we three enjoyed chatting, window shopping (it was very exciting, wasn't it?) and eating(´∀｀)♪ We ate Chukaman, milktea with tapioka, gelati and crepe!! They tasted sooooo delicious　but I think we ovreate ourselves a little... But I want to go there again since the sight from Yamasita Park or row of buildings along a city street was so beautiful that I love there. So if anybody knows somewhere wonderful to visit in Yokohama, please tell me.

I went to Sagamihara Festival with my family!!! Although, I don't belong any club or circle, I enjoyed it♪

Then, did anyone go to the "Katsunori Takahasi's Talk Show"??? I saw it !!! When I lined to get a ticket, there were so many crowd in the passage. And some middle age women made a complaint terribly. "Hey, who is a person in charge ?! It's a time to start the show! "
I was afraid of their aggressiveness......

By the way, Katsunori Takahasi was cool! His talk was interesting★ But I thought he was smoller than I had expected.

Sunday and Monday was sagamihara festival!!!My baseball club sold takoyaki(agetako)!!!! Monday I had another schedule, so I only helped Sunday. To tell the truth, first I thought we can't sell so much. I had heard someone said that the festival is very inconspicious and few people come to it. But it was wrong. Much more people than I expected came and many people bought our takoyaki!!So we could sold out♪Selling and promoting it was so exhausted me but it was very fun too!But it was so sunny day,and I think I got tanned...

In Sagamihara festival on Sunday and Monday, Rikoh Kyudo club (of course I'm not a student of the faculty of science and engineering) sold a lot of hot dogs. I made some of them. This Sunday and Monday was very hot! And the hot plate to cook them was very hot too. Some members wore Godzilla and Dorae-mon and walked to promote. So maybe some of you see them.
And our sales became top! I'm very happy!（*＾ｖ＾*）

Sagamihara festival ☆

Yesterday, I went to Sagamihara festival with my mother.
At first, I planed the day to stay at home and sleep all day, but my mother said to me to go there with her. So I went to there.
I was surprised because there were many shops which sold Yakisoba, Jaga-butter and so on.
I ate a banana coating chocolate. It was very delicious and I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The day became very interesting and I am very happy to see my mother came from Shizuoka!!
By the way, did you go to there?? And did you do something at there??

Wonderful speeches♬

Last Sunday, I went to Aoyama Campas as a audience of the speech contest.

There were 12 high school students who were selected as representative from there district.

Those speeches were very very nice and I was very surprised at their good pronunciation.

I thought that I want to speak well like them so I was motivated !!

What's more, to my surprise, there were Dr. Armstrong as a judge.

Nice to meet you, Dr. Armstrong. I've accessed this blog twice or so, but I didn't understand how to use and couldn't make even my account then. Just now, I can do that！I'm feeling relieved now but I spent too much time to do that and couldn't send this….So I'm feeling very sorry too.

Now, first theme was about Thechnology. These days more and more people come to heavy user of technological things. Our university has also developped a system of IT, so there are so many technological things around us. Thanks for them we can live feeling convenient. As for me, when I go to somewhere by train I always check time schedule of it by my mobilephone and make my plan of that day. And when I get to station and don't know how to go to the destination, I often use GPS system of cellular phone. It tells me where I am and show a map of there. And when I want to know what I don't know, I often use open syte, for example Yahoo！ or Google. They will show me some answer or somethi
ng useful information.

However Technology doesn’t have only merits, it has demerit. When we search someting by using certain open syte, it shows us not only right result but also wrong one. And the most tiresome thing about that, we must check up if the result is right or not by ourselves. It requires us to be person who can recognize correct information.

What is most important thing when we deal with Technology is to evaluate the value.

About Sagamihara festival!

Good evening!

I went to Sagamihara festival with friend yesterday(8th). When I arrived at the campus (around eleven o'clock), there were fewer people than I had expected. It seemed inactive, but, as the hours go by, it began to crowd the festival with a lot of people. There were many installs in the outside, such as yakisoba, okonomiyaki, wataame, and banana chocolate. And a lot of events were also held on the inside. The event I liked most was street performance. I was amazed his performance.

I could have a good time. If you didn't go to the festival, you should join next year.

Festival & Movie

I went to Sagamihara Festival today to see my friends dancing. She looked very cool and performance was exciting!! And I ate Tai-yaki there, that was delicious.

Yukiko, I also watched "Sugar& Spice" the other day. I was really impressed with the story. The two main characters were good, and I thought Natsuki Mari was an attractive actress. On the way home, I've bought milk caramel that appeared in this movie.

My first blog post!!!!

HEY!!! It's Kumiko. Finally I can write my blog!!! It took me A LOT to do this since I'm not really good at computer stuff. But now I can, so it's all good :)
Anyway....what am I supposed to talk about? Hmm.....okay today I just worked, which was pretty busy and stressful as usual. (I work at Kinokuniya supermarket in Omotesando) People I work with are a little scary.I always get scolded. Actually I just started working there, so there are still many things I don't know and I make mistakes..so getting scolded is like part of my job but sometimes they are really mean and say harsh things to me. But I can't complain.. I need money. I earn 1200 yen an hour. It's pretty good for a university student, right? so I can't quit!!

Okay, now I should talk about technology. Obviously it's all around us. Can you imagine life without a cell phone, computer, TV, refrigerator, washing machine, music players etc?? My answer is "NO". I know there are some negative things about it but we cannot live without technology. We depend on it too much. So Dr. Armstrong , you really don't have a TV??? That is so surprising. I know there are so many silly TV programs but I watch TV every day. It's not like I just watch TV for hours, I watch it doing something else like doing homework, reading, eating etc. Basically I watch news, music programs, dramas and movies.

yesterday(8th) was Sagamihara festival, but I couldn't go... Because I had a part-time job. I really want to go. My senior of my circle participated in disguise contest as a woman. I really wanted to see!! If only I had not had a part-time job... Well, regrettably he couldn't get a first prize, but my friends said that he was so cute! And they send me photos of him in e-mail, it was so cute!!

Sadly, today I cannot go to festival, either. Today my friends will participate in dodge ball contest. They had practiced it for about 2 weeks, so I want them to win!!

I am very sleepy now though I got up in the afternoon today.

The day before yesterday, it rained heavily. Because of that, the train which I use every day was stopped. I had to wait until the train moves. It made me very tired... At Shinjuku station, I had to hold my umbrella at the platform!!
Yesterday, my grandmother came to my house from Shizuoka. She bought "Ekiben" from Shizuoka station somehow.
And today I didn't do something especially, but I played with my sister who is ten. She is in forth grades of elementary school. I can't communicate with her on week days because she goes to bed early and I come home late. She e-mails me sometimes from my mother's cell phone.(*´∀｀*)


By the way, I want to cut my hair!! Is there anyone who knows good beauty salon?? Please tell me if you know!!

When I read your post, I remembered the day of childhood. When I was a elementary school student, I used to play with my friend after school and go home before dark . I didn't watch any TV program at night because there was my mother when I got home. Talking to her about school is great fun so I'm not interested in and didn't need TV.

Now, I don't have enough time to talk with my family because we're very busy. When I'm in home alone, I feel so lonely and watch TV. But I prefer talking with someone to watching TV, I think.

It's true that TV gives us uch information and it is necessary for me but spending time too much to watch TV may be a big problem of my life with my family so I must be carefull.

Today was wonderful!!

Yesterday was a terrible day. It rained heavily. To matter worse, when I was on the way home , my umbrella and shoes have broken!!! I wanted to cry...
But today was a wonderful day. The weather was nice and I met a friend of high school. We talked each other and I spent happy time. I want to meet her again.

I also think media presentation is very difficult. I'm not good at speaking English, so I must work hard to communicate what I want to say. I will do my best. When I make a mistake in my presentation, please tell me. Through media presentation, I can improve language skills. So I never give up!!

Oh! I have to write about TV. There are two TVs in my house but nothing in private rooms. I like to watch TV but recently I haven't had time to watch. I like music and sports programs. And... I also watch news programs. We can get news from TV. However, I agree with Dr. Armstrong's opinion. When I was young, I seldom watched TV. Instead of this, I usually played outside and communicated with many people. It is more important for children, isn't it?

It was raining heavily yesterday, however it's stopped and now we have a very sunny day! I had to wear warm clothes to sleep last night. When I got up this morning, it was too hot in this temperature. Today the sky is very clean, I'm happy to see it.

As Asako wrote, my media report wasn't good, neither. I'm sorry...I'll try to have enough time to prepare for the next one. Media report gives us a chance to speak with classmates in English. I feel like we can enjoy this work.

Rainy day....

I don't like rain!! It makes me feel so bad...But today was so rainy day.
My umbrella broke on my way home!!!!

Terrible weather...

It was a heavy rainy day. I had a class today and it began from 11:00, but the Odakyu line had delay and the train I used everyday didn't work, so I couldn't get to school until the class started. Moreover it was like a storm so my umbrella didn't play its role!! I was soaked by rain. Finally, I bought many things today. What I bought today was a new big umbrella, towel, hot tea, comb, and jacket. I felt cold because my clothes got wet, so I decided to buy jacket! Taking care of own condition is important.

I merely watch TV except baseball games. I'm not interested in a TV drama because I can guess the story. But in baseball games, we can't guess what'll happen so it's very exciting and I cannot help but keep on watching.

TV for me

Since the new school term started, I don't have much time to watch TV...
If I have time, I like to watch movie programs. (Today I watched "Red Dragon" which is one of the Dr. Hannibal Lecter series. It was really horrible but I enjoyed it.) It's wonderful thing that we can watch movies without paying money. Don't you think so?
And also I watch news programs in the morning. The news are useful for me because I hardly read newspapers.

I became a university student and don’t watch much TV problem because I became busy than before and cannot take times to watch TV problems. If we are free, I think that we turn on TV. I watch TV in the morning and evening. I watch several program, such as news, drama, etc. Watching TV, I sometimes notice that there are TV programs that have a bad influence. To see it, I become feeling bad. And watching TV too much can be a waste of time. But, it also has good points. I think that it is convenient way to know the news around the world. And sometimes, to see documentary drama which theme is life, we can think about life, love and ourselves. And I like sports. Watching the game on TV is very exciting!! Now, I want to talk about technology. I use a veriety of machines, such as cellular phone, and personal computer. Especially I often use portable music player. Listening to music relaxs me, so I use it in the train. But I think it sometimes becomes a problem. Some people make some noise from their earphone or headphone. I occasionally feel uncomfortable that noise.(Especially when I'm sleepy.) Have you ever feel so? Therefore, I make it a rule to care about my music player volume.

By the way, I usually watch TV in the morning and evening, less than an hour a weekday. But, during the long-term vacation, I watch sometimes TV many hours. The kind of TV program I watch is news, sports, drama and so on. Although watching TV is fun, too much watching is not good for health. I think if we made watching TV moderate, TV would be good technology.

About TV program

I usually watch TV while eating in the morning and in the evening.

In the morning, I often watch Mezamashi TV. I can get to know a lot of interesting information that is from serious problems to entertainment. Then, I finish watching horoscope everyday.

I can't say exactly what kind of TV program my family watch during dinner because my brother always chooses the channel. He seems to like the programs that make people laugh.

And I sometimes watch dramas before going to bed.

It was a long long way... I could come here at last. Actually, I made my blog at another blog space. I was surprised because the member wrote good sentence. Yes, they are IE3 students... Now, I'm really satisfied with my effort to come here!!
So, I will start to write my first blog. The theme is technology and it is used everywhere. Now that we can't live without it. For example, without train, we can't go school or work. Cellular phone and Internet are part of our life. (Of cource some people can do well without it. Such as Basso...>0<)
But we must use them, never be used by them. Technology is for the improvement of our life.
So it is important to think how to use.
By the way, I want to write school but I have no power to tipe it any more, sorry.

We can use it anywhere whenever we want to make contact. Recently, Internet can be used in mobile phone, so mobile phone is getting moore useful. However, we should care about securities while using Internet, and manners when we use mobile phone in public place.

TV!

Hi! Mr.Armstrong! I was surprised to hear that you don't have TV in your house. But if there were no TV, I could make more free time. I don't have much time to watch TV now. I don't know why but I am always busy. In the morning, I watch the news and at the dinner time, I watch for an hour. In my house, there is only one TV. I don't have the specific TV channel which I always see. Though I liked watching TV drama before but now I don't watch those. I have many TV programs that I want to see but I am busy doing club and part time jobs.

Now, I'm going to write my opinion to technology.
This time, I make mention of cellular phone. I think cellular phone is really nice invention because thanks to this, we can communicate with a lot of people and easily and rapidly. So whenever we have a matter of urgency, we can use this phone and communicate with others.
However, there are some cases which gives us some troubles. For example, if you got a call from someone you don't know, you will be confused and think of taking it or not. I sometimes get a call from stranger and worry about what do I do...That time, I always think about the person who is calling is good man or horrible man like gangster...It is not good for my heart, I think.
I feel that nice and useful technology has both faces, good and not acceptable. However, these technology helps us greatly so that I think progress of technology is indispensable no matter how it has some problems to human.
Above idea is all mine. I want to know your opinion about cell phone.

I agree that it is difficult to use the honorific words. My club is very strict on the honorific words. When I sent the email to the senior, she returned my email by correcting my honorific words. Technology is very useful and essential for our lives in these days. Almost every house has TV, PC, and microwave oven and so on. Then everyone are using cell phone and portable music player while walking or waiting for the trains. They got to be necessary to do anything because they have various new functions. Advanced cell phones can pay money like a credit card. I'm afraid that we've lost control of using money. They don't need more functions, it's great for just making contact with someone.

Then, I want to talk about the technology. In my life, cell phone is essential. Wherever you are, you can connect with each other through it. In addition, it gives us many imformation such as the weather report and train time schedule. So, I always bring it and cannot do without it.On the other hand, portable music player like i-pod is not so important for me. It issurely good that you listen to music in the train when you have time on your hands. But,if you concentrate on music strongly, you may fail to get off the train. As for me,it is sufficient to listen to music at home, so I never use a portable music player.
