We watched the movie Metropolis in the IE class.
It was a little difficult for me to understand at first,
because there weren't any lines, only some caption.
1. Who are the main characters?
Feder and Maria are the main characters in this story.
Feder is the son of power and Maria is the daughter of worker.
they are poles apart in the class.
2.What is the theme of this story?
capitalism and communism should live together in peace.
3.What lesson/moral do we learn at the end?
"between head and hand , there is heart" is a impressive line for me.
I think Feder stands for head, and Maria stands for hand.
their love stands for heart.
head and hand are not completely different things, but should live together in peace.
Moreover I think this story also criticizes the hierarchical society.
Maybe it was affected by these hard times in 1927.
